What if the pathway to reading success for young children is found by connecting with them through gaming culture—a space where leveling up, persistence, and mastery already resonate?
NextGen Academy is a school purpose-built for students who are passionate about gaming. Learning takes place through adaptive software, with adults serving as coaches and mentors. Reading instruction is where younger students often require the most direct, hands-on guidance—and that's your domain.
You will be responsible for small-group reading instruction focused on K-2 students. Your approach will combine structured literacy practices with adaptive applications that monitor each student's real-time progress. When a student struggles with decoding, you intervene. When a student achieves a breakthrough, you recognize it. Group sizes are intentionally small, allowing you to understand each child's reading level, interests, and unique motivators.
The outcome is seeing students who once struggled with letter sounds begin to read books with confidence—all within a school where "leveling up" carries meaning inside the classroom, not only on a screen.
