Learning Designer   $60,000 USD/year

Description

This role is for individuals who believe educational systems should operate with greater speed, precision, and clear accountability.

2 Hour Learning condenses what conventional schools distribute throughout an entire school day into concentrated, results-driven learning sessions. Success in this model depends on academic decisions that are accurate, immediate, and fully owned. This position was created to deliver that: transform complex student data into actionable insights and combine it with direct, trust-based student coaching that eliminates obstacles quickly.

You will operate where data analysis meets personal engagement. At one point, you're examining performance metrics to identify risks early and support placements with sound rationale. At another, you're working directly with a student, identifying confusion as it happens and guiding them forward before minor challenges escalate into significant setbacks. This is not an observational or passive reporting function. Outcomes rest with you.

This position suits individuals who seek immediate visibility into the impact of their work. If ownership energizes you, if direct student engagement appeals to you, and if you find satisfaction in enabling children to learn twice as efficiently through better decision-making, this environment will align with your strengths.

Consider applying if you want your contributions to register within days, not months.

What you will be doing

  • Evaluate student performance data to generate clear, actionable academic reports that prompt timely interventions
  • Take full ownership of academic outcomes for a designated student group, including placement decisions, testing strategy, and follow-through
  • Facilitate focused academic recovery sessions that pinpoint underlying causes and remove learning obstacles in real time
  • Lead post-assessment coaching conversations to distinguish true knowledge deficits from errors of execution and assign precise next actions
  • Work closely with academic leadership and parent support teams to escalate emerging risks and refine systems or tools

What you will NOT be doing

  • Creating reports that remain unaddressed
  • Operating exclusively in the background without direct student contact
  • Delegating academic accountability to teachers, tutors, or families
  • Delivering broad tutoring sessions lacking clear diagnostic intent
  • Allowing weeks to pass before addressing developing student challenges

Key responsibilities

Provide precise, timely academic analysis and direct student interventions that produce measurable acceleration in learning outcomes for your assigned student cohort.

Candidate requirements

  • At least 1 year in a coaching, instructional, or training role with a documented outcome or feedback
  • At least 1 year of hands-on experience working closely with K–8 students (occasional tutoring does not qualify)
  • Demonstrated experience in data science, education, EdTech, or student support roles combining analysis and interpersonal work
  • Fluent spoken and written communication in Ukrainian and English
  • Strong proficiency in Google Sheets, including lookups, filters, pivot tables, and charts
  • High emotional intelligence with the ability to build trust quickly with students and parents
  • Proven use of AI to analyze data or automate workflows with measurable efficiency gains
