Director of Family Enrollment   $200,000 USD/year

Description

Where most enrollment positions prioritize volume, this one is designed to uphold standards.

Alpha is constructing one of the world's most forward-thinking school models. Our campuses integrate demanding academics, technology-enabled instruction, and elevated expectations for both students and faculty. Students routinely outpace national learning benchmarks, supported by measurable outcomes. Afternoons are reserved for deeper exploration, independent work, and practical skill development. The model delivers results. But success depends entirely on enrolling the right families.

This is your mandate.

You will manage the complete enrollment process for a campus, beginning with initial inquiry and concluding with onboarding. This is not a role where responsibilities are divided. You own how families perceive us, how thoroughly they grasp the model, and whether their enrollment decisions reflect genuine alignment. You will evaluate compatibility, facilitate meaningful dialogue, and recommend declining enrollment when appropriate. The objective is not to maximize numbers. The objective is mutual fit.

We welcome applicants from high-caliber service contexts outside conventional education: selective private schools, competitive programs, premium hospitality, executive assistance, exclusive membership communities, or entrepreneurial operators who have directly overseen sophisticated client experiences from start to finish. What counts is your capacity to execute a personalized, multi-phase process with discernment, precision, and accountability.

If your career has centered on delivering exceptional service where reputation depends on trust, confidentiality, and experience quality, this role will resonate—only directed toward work that produces measurable impact.

This is a salaried, full-time, on-campus position. We are currently hiring in Santa Monica, San Francisco, Palo Alto, Piedmont, Palm Springs, Charlotte, and Raleigh. Relocation assistance is provided.

What you will be doing

  • Directing the entire enrollment experience for prospective families, spanning initial outreach to final onboarding.
  • Facilitating exploratory discussions to assess alignment before proposing solutions or advising on subsequent actions.
  • Overseeing 20+ concurrent family engagements across various enrollment phases, with transparent tracking of progress and follow-up obligations.
  • Guiding campus visits, student shadow days, and enrollment dialogues that transparently convey results, standards, and the intended family profile.
  • Ensuring precise CRM and enrollment documentation (HubSpot and SIS) to enable forecasting, task prioritization, and consistent service delivery.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Employing transactional or aggressive sales methods.
  • Admitting poorly matched families merely to satisfy enrollment targets.
  • Overseeing a sizable team or working within complex bureaucratic structures.
  • Distributing responsibility for the family experience across multiple staff members.
  • Operating remotely. This position requires campus presence by necessity.

Key responsibilities

Lead and deliver a high-trust, highly selective enrollment process that attracts aligned families while safeguarding the credibility and effectiveness of the Alpha model.

Candidate requirements

  • 3+ years providing premium, individualized service in settings where service excellence directly shapes brand perception (education, luxury hospitality, executive support, premium membership, or owner-operated services).
  • Proven ownership of a complete client, admissions, or enrollment process from initial inquiry through onboarding.
  • Experience concurrently managing 20+ client, guest, or family interactions at varying stages, supported by a structured tracking and prioritization method.
  • Ability to supply specific examples of advisory decision-making, including instances where you recommended against your product or service due to poor fit.
  • Professional written communication experience with senior executives, high-net-worth individuals, or sophisticated clients.
  • Willingness to live in or relocate within 60 days to one of the following markets: Santa Monica, CA; San Francisco, CA; Palo Alto, CA; Piedmont, CA; Palm Springs, FL; Charlotte, NC; or Raleigh, NC.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

  • Experience in competitive private school admissions or selective program enrollment.
  • Background in luxury hospitality, VIP client services, or executive-level support positions.
  • Experience designing or optimizing enrollment workflows, standard operating procedures, or service protocols.
  • Proficiency leveraging data and CRM analytics to enhance conversion alignment, not merely velocity.
