Admissions Relationship Manager   $200,000 USD/year

Description

Most admissions positions focus on maximizing volume. This role prioritizes maintaining standards.

Alpha is constructing one of the world's most forward-thinking school frameworks. Our locations combine demanding academics, technology-enhanced instruction, and elevated expectations for both learners and educators. Students routinely progress faster than national averages, supported by measurable data. Afternoon hours are dedicated to deeper exploration, autonomy, and practical skill development. The model is effective. Its effectiveness, however, depends entirely on enrolling the right families.

This is your entry point.

You will manage the complete enrollment experience for a campus, beginning with initial inquiry and concluding with onboarding. This is not a role where responsibility transfers between departments. You are accountable for how families perceive us, how thoroughly they grasp the model, and whether enrollment choices are grounded in appropriate motivations. You will evaluate compatibility, facilitate informed discussions, and advise against enrollment when that represents the proper course of action. The objective is not enrolling the greatest number. The objective is achieving genuine alignment.

We welcome applicants from premium client service sectors outside conventional education: selective private institutions, competitive programs, high-end hospitality, executive assistance, exclusive membership communities, or independent business owners who have directly overseen valuable client relationships from start to finish. What counts is your capacity to execute a personalized, multi-phase process with sound judgment, transparency, and consistent follow-through.

If your professional background centers on delivering exceptional service where credibility, confidentiality, and experience quality are brand-defining, this position will be recognizable territory—simply directed toward work that genuinely transforms outcomes.

This is a full-time, salaried, on-site position. We are currently hiring in Santa Monica, San Francisco, Palo Alto, Piedmont, Palm Springs, Charlotte, and Raleigh. Relocation assistance is provided.

What you will be doing

  • Managing the complete enrollment pathway for prospective families, starting from initial contact and extending through onboarding.
  • Facilitating needs-based dialogues to evaluate compatibility before introducing options or suggesting subsequent actions.
  • Overseeing 20+ concurrent family engagements across various enrollment phases, maintaining transparent tracking of status and necessary follow-ups.
  • Directing campus visits, shadowing opportunities, and decision-oriented discussions that articulate outcomes, expectations, and the model's ideal audience.
  • Keeping CRM and enrollment data accurate (HubSpot and SIS) to enable forecasting, prioritization, and service excellence.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Employing transactional or aggressive sales approaches.
  • Accepting families with poor alignment merely to satisfy enrollment targets.
  • Overseeing a sizable team or working through complex approval hierarchies.
  • Handing off responsibility for the family journey to other departments.
  • Operating remotely. This position is intentionally campus-based.

Key responsibilities

Manage and deliver a relationship-centered, highly selective enrollment process that successfully converts aligned families while safeguarding the integrity and academic performance of the Alpha model.

Candidate requirements

  • 3+ years providing premium, individualized service in settings where quality of service directly influences brand standing (education, high-end hospitality, executive assistance, exclusive membership organizations, or independently operated services).
  • Proven responsibility for a complete client, admissions, or enrollment process spanning first interaction through onboarding.
  • Experience concurrently handling 20+ client, guest, or family accounts at varied stages, supported by an organized tracking and prioritization method.
  • Capacity to offer specific instances of advisory decision-making, including occasions when you recommended against your own product or service due to poor fit.
  • Professional writing experience directed toward senior leaders, high-net-worth clients, or discerning audiences.
  • Willingness to reside in or relocate within 60 days to one of these locations: Santa Monica, CA; San Francisco, CA; Palo Alto, CA; Piedmont, CA; Palm Springs, FL; Charlotte, NC; or Raleigh, NC.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

  • Experience in competitive private school admissions or selective program enrollment.
  • Background in high-end hospitality, VIP client services, or executive support functions.
  • Experience developing or improving enrollment workflows, standard operating procedures, or service benchmarks.
  • Proficiency leveraging data and CRM analytics to enhance conversion alignment, not merely velocity.
