Director of Construction   $400,000 USD/year

Description

Ready to transform strategy into reality? Here's your opportunity to build an educational revolution from the ground up.

At 2 Hour Learning, we're not just talking about educational innovation—we're executing it at breakneck speed. With 25-30 new campus launches in the next six months, we need operational powerhouses who can turn vision into brick-and-mortar reality. As our Director of Construction, you'll step beyond recommendation into full ownership of our physical infrastructure expansion.

Our model flips traditional education on its head: students master a full year's curriculum in just two focused hours daily, freeing the rest for growth, creativity, and discovery. With private equity backing and proven results, we're scaling rapidly across the nation.

This isn't for the consultant who loves to theorize. It's for the builder who's ready to roll up their sleeves, make consequential decisions, and deliver tangible results without bureaucratic obstacles. If you're tired of presenting solutions and eager to implement them yourself, this is your moment.

What you will be doing

  • Spearheading a critical domain in our national expansion strategy—whether that's regulatory compliance, campus construction, systems implementation, or financial operations
  • Exercising complete decision-making authority with corresponding accountability for outcomes
  • Creating scalable operational frameworks and methodologies where none currently exist
  • Working directly with leadership and ground teams to ensure seamless infrastructure deployment
  • Leveraging cutting-edge AI and automation technologies to maximize efficiency and execution speed

What you will NOT be doing

  • Serving in an advisory capacity—you're the doer, not the recommender
  • Navigating complex hierarchies—you'll have direct access to key decision-makers
  • Focusing on limited geographic areas—your impact will span multiple markets simultaneously
  • Waiting for direction—you'll be the one establishing clarity and purpose
  • Passing difficult decisions upward—the tough calls will rest squarely on your shoulders

Key responsibilities

Take complete ownership of one essential operational pillar in our aggressive national expansion strategy. You'll drive rapid, efficient, and scalable execution across multiple locations simultaneously. While we'll match you to your optimal domain based on experience, you'll have full autonomy and accountability for your area of responsibility.

Candidate requirements

Our ideal candidates bring operational excellence across multiple domains. The common thread? Speed, clarity, structured thinking, and relentless execution.

Essential qualifications:

  • 7-10 years of professional experience, including 3-5 years at a premier strategy consulting firm (McKinsey, Bain, BCG)
  • Demonstrated success leading complex cross-functional operations in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
  • Exceptional expertise in at least one key area: regulatory compliance navigation, physical construction management, systems implementation, or large-scale financial operations
  • Highly structured approach to problem-solving with strong bias toward action and independent execution
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. and willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time
  • Proficiency with AI-powered tools to enhance productivity and accelerate implementation timelines
