Outdoor Operations Coordinator   $60,000 USD/year

Description

LOCATION NOTE: This is a full-time, on-site position based at our Austin campus.

If you see disorder and immediately draft a plan to restore structure, this role will suit you. Alpha is built for students who advance quickly, seek rigorous challenge, and take on meaningful responsibility. We combine demanding academics with practical life skills and a focused 2-Hour Learning framework, enabling students to progress with speed and confidence. We're looking for someone who can transform a dynamic school environment into a reliable, high-functioning operation—every transition, every handoff, every element executed precisely.

At our Austin location, you will be the operator who sustains momentum: protecting time for deep learning, maintaining safe and efficient day-to-day operations, and removing friction so Guides can dedicate their full attention to mentoring. You will manage facility workflows, frontline technology support, and stakeholder communication, building a culture where ambition is the baseline and self-reliance is cultivated. If you value clear expectations, decisive action, and measurable impact, this position is designed for you.

Apply to build a campus where students accelerate their learning, families experience the quality, and operational precision is the foundation of everything.

What you will be doing

  • Managing the daily schedule with accuracy to ensure 2-Hour Learning sessions begin promptly, remain distraction-free, and conclude effectively.
  • Providing first-tier technology assistance (device configuration, routine troubleshooting) and coordinating handoffs to IT when needed.
  • Ensuring campus safety and order: executing drills, logging incidents, overseeing vendors, and keeping facilities operationally ready.
  • Delivering clear communication to students, families, and team members; resolving issues promptly and recording key decisions.
  • Enabling campus events and transitions—orientation, logistics, inventory and space planning—so the site consistently operates at a high standard.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Delivering academic instruction or designing coursework; Guides handle student mentorship while you maintain the operational infrastructure.
  • Working remotely or in isolation; your role is visible, hands-on, and directly impacts student outcomes and family confidence.
  • Engaging in low-value tasks that do not enhance efficiency, security, or the quality of the learning experience.

Key responsibilities

Maintain a campus environment that is consistently secure, prepared, and conducive to learning, enabling students and staff to concentrate on development rather than operational distractions.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (any discipline)
  • 2+ years managing complex operations in education, events, hospitality, or a comparable service-intensive setting.
  • Composed under pressure; proactive thinker capable of managing competing demands with precision.
  • Proficient with basic IT troubleshooting and Google Workspace tools.
  • Strong, professional written and spoken communication that builds trust.
  • Eligible to work in the United States; able to work in person in Austin, TX (visa sponsorship not available).
