Renewals Manager   $100,000 USD/year

Description

You're an enterprise account manager tired of functioning as a passive renewal processor. You understand how to maintain satisfaction among major accounts, ensure contract integrity, and sustain revenue flow—without requiring support from entire teams of customer success managers, solution engineers, or enablement specialists. You communicate outcomes with CMOs, execution details with content directors, and risk mitigation with compliance officers. And you're capable of creating automation that fundamentally transforms your workflow, not simply leveraging ChatGPT.

Contently operates in the enterprise segment where errors carry significant cost: regulated content management. Financial institutions, healthcare organizations, and major consumer brands depend on us because brand safety, governance, and compliance are non-negotiable. What makes this compelling is that you're not entering unfamiliar territory. You're assuming control of an enterprise portfolio where trust has already been established. Your objective is to convert that trust into sustained and expanding revenue by demonstrating ROI in terms your clients understand, then expanding strategically. As you do this, you'll help shape what AI-enabled account management will look like in 2026 for a content platform—because that playbook doesn't exist yet.

This role means owning renewals with a closer's mentality. It means conducting quarterly business reviews that resonate with executives because you can connect platform usage to business outcomes like reduced compliance exposure and enhanced brand credibility. It means proactively identifying expansion opportunities within both the account and the broader market, then delivering proposals grounded in the client's actual activity and genuine needs. It also means delivering automation on a quarterly basis that eliminates hours of repetitive account management tasks, freeing your time for strategy, negotiation, and growth initiatives. If your understanding of "AI capabilities" is limited to drafting better emails more quickly, this role isn't for you.

You'll join a streamlined team where accountability defines the culture and autonomy is the reward. You'll collaborate cross-functionally with product, support, finance, and marketing specialists as circumstances require, but you're the operator responsible for delivering results. If you're looking for a portfolio of genuine enterprise accounts, rapid feedback on your impact, and a position where AI development is a core expectation, we encourage you to apply. If you're seeking to learn AI building on the job and expect a gradual ramp-up period, please do not apply (other Crossover opportunities exist for that purpose).

What you will be doing

  • Account Renewals - Execute annual contract renewals punctually, maintaining or exceeding current ARR, with documented justification for retention outcomes
  • Customer Success Plans - Develop account-specific success plans that capture client objectives, health indicators, renewal schedules, and expansion pathways
  • AI Workflow Automation - Develop scripts or automation solutions to manage routine activities (report generation, status communications, QBR data preparation)

What you will NOT be doing

  • Acquiring new logos or conducting cold outreach
  • Developing content marketing strategies on behalf of customers
  • Limiting AI tool usage to writing assistance or research support

Key responsibilities

  • Retain and expand revenue within Contently's current enterprise portfolio

Candidate requirements

  • Minimum 2 years managing enterprise accounts with $200K+ ARR at a software company
  • Demonstrated experience leveraging data (usage analytics, renewal records, platform activity) to construct business cases for executive decision-makers
  • Proven ability to develop AI workflow automations
  • Availability to work US business hours (EST time zone)
