What you will be doing
<ul>
<li>Empowering students to set and achieve personal learning goals, guiding them to become self-directed learners.</li>
<li>Providing targeted instruction in social-emotional skills and foundational literacy with the support of Reading Specialists.</li>
<li>Fostering a classroom environment that encourages curiosity and resilience through interactive, hands-on learning experiences.</li>
<li>Utilizing and embracing AI-driven tools to enhance educational outcomes, preparing students for a future where technology complements traditional learning methods.</li>
<li>Collaborating with a team of educators and counselors to support each student's unique journey, adapting to their individual learning needs and styles.</li>

What you will NOT be doing
<p>🚫 Relying solely on traditional teaching methods without integrating innovative educational technology.</p>
<p>🚫 Implementing a one-size-fits-all approach to education—here, individuality in learning is celebrated and nurtured.</p>
<p>🚫 Overlooking the importance of emotional and social development in favor of purely academic instruction.</p>
Key responsibilities
<p>💡 Champion the development of independent learning and life skills for Kindergarten - 2nd graders, setting young learners on a path to educational success and personal growth.</p>
Candidate requirements
<ul>
<li>Willing to work in person at our Austin, TX campus.</li>
<li>A college degree in any field.</li>
<li>At least 3 years of experience working with children ages 4 - 8 years old in educational, afterschool, sports, or related settings.</li>
<li>Proven ability to employ a growth mindset and high-performance coaching strategies effectively.</li>
<li>Comfortable with and enthusiastic about using AI and other technologies in educational settings.</li>
<li>Legally able to work in the US without visa sponsorship</li>
</ul>
Nice to have
<p>These qualities will make your application stand out, but as long as you meet the above requirements, you should apply!</p>
<ul>
<li>A degree or certification in a field related to early learning (education, child development, reading intervention, etc.)</li>
<li>Certifications or advanced training in early childhood learning methodologies such as CDA, Montessori, or Reggio Emilia.</li>
<li>Experience as a K-2 teacher, reading coach, or literacy specialist with formal training or professional development experience in a reading & phonics frameworks.</li>
<li>Experience in settings that emphasize personalized learning paths and educational technology.</li>
</ul>
