You'll translate complex educational frameworks into AI prompts, crafting assessments and rubrics that not only meet high standards but also inspire curiosity. Your holistic understanding of the learning process will be key in identifying knowledge gaps and refining our curriculum in collaboration with subject matter experts.

What you will be doing

  • Designing and enhancing test content with psychometrics and AI tools to align with stringent educational standards.
  • Creating AI-assisted assessment rubrics to evaluate the impact and alignment of test content and learning materials.
  • Ensuring the quality of learning content by maintaining high standards of engagement, accuracy, and effectiveness.
  • Interpreting test results and learning analytics to identify and address knowledge gaps in our curriculum.
  • Working alongside subject-matter experts to optimize educational offerings, including test content and instructional materials.
  • Integrating learning science and mastery-based learning principles to improve curriculum and assessment strategies.
  • Engaging in our 'second brain' knowledge-sharing practices to both contribute to and gain from team expertise.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Manually creating test content or curriculum materials – you'll utilize AI tools for all development tasks.
  • Developing code for system automation – your focus will be on learning measurement and content design, while engineers handle technical aspects.
  • Working in isolation – this role requires active, interdisciplinary collaboration.

Key responsibilities

Utilize your psychometric expertise to develop AI-assisted test content that is personalized, rigorous, and educationally aligned. Contribute to the enhancement of our learning ecosystem through collaborative efforts and data-driven insights.

Candidate requirements

  • Expertise in one or more areas: psychometrics, educational measurement, assessment design, standardized test creation, item writing, cognitive psychology in learning, educational data analysis, Item Response Theory, or computer adaptive testing.
  • Proven experience applying these principles in practical settings.
  • PhD in a relevant field.
  • Strong grasp of learning science principles and mastery-based learning approaches.
  • Proficiency with AI tools in educational content development or a demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technologies.
  • User-centric approach with the ability to critically assess content for appropriateness, accuracy, and relevance.
  • Excellent collaborative skills for effective teamwork across multiple disciplines.
  • A passion for educational innovation and a commitment to enhancing learning outcomes.
