What you will be doing

  • Inspiring students each day by exemplifying a passion for learning and a steadfast dedication to personal and athletic growth.
  • Guiding students in problem-solving by equipping them with tools and mindsets to independently overcome academic and life challenges.
  • Conducting invigorating morning kickoffs to energize students, creating a vibrant atmosphere of motivation and enthusiasm.
  • Mentoring students through social challenges, promoting a supportive and inclusive community.
  • Leading life skills and sports practice sessions in the afternoons, using athletic disciplines to cultivate leadership, teamwork, resilience, and perseverance.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Engaging in traditional teaching or tutoring; instead, you'll be coaching students to learn and solve problems effectively.
  • Remaining on the sidelines; active engagement and participation in both academic and athletic activities are crucial.
  • Using a one-size-fits-all approach; personalized mentorship and understanding individual motivational triggers are essential tools.

Key responsibilities

Your primary duty is to drive our students' development as scholars, athletes, and individuals, ensuring they acquire the skills, discipline, and resilience necessary for success in every aspect of their lives.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in any field.
  • Proven excellence in athletics (e.g., Olympian, national/world champion, professional/semi-professional athlete, or Division 1 college athlete).
  • Strong academic record, demonstrating a balance between intellectual and physical excellence.
  • Exceptional motivational skills, with a knack for energizing and engaging students.
  • Commitment to personal growth, with the ability to mentor students in life skills through athletic discipline.
  • Available to begin work in-person in Austin, TX.
  • Authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

  • Experience in educational settings or as a youth sports coach.
  • Background in psychology, education, or related fields that support mentorship and personal development.
