Senior Instructional Designer $200,000USD/year ($100 USD/hour)

Description

Ready to revolutionize education through the power of AI? Welcome to 2 Hour Learning, where we're not just adapting to the future—we're creating it.

Our groundbreaking approach has already produced remarkable results: students consistently achieving top AP scores and demonstrating exceptional growth on MAP assessments. We've reimagined learning from the ground up, eliminating traditional classroom constraints and unleashing the full potential of AI-driven education.

As our Senior Instructional Designer, you'll be the visionary architect behind our learning ecosystem, crafting personalized educational journeys that transform how students learn. You'll blend cutting-edge AI technology with learning science to create an environment where every student can excel beyond their expectations.

This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on impact. You'll analyze complex data while maintaining direct student connections, ensuring our innovations are both data-driven and student-centered. Your work will directly influence the educational outcomes across multiple campuses, setting new standards for what's possible in modern education.

At 2 Hour Learning, we're not just improving education—we're completely reimagining it. If you're passionate about leveraging AI to unlock human potential and aren't afraid to challenge educational conventions, we want to hear from you.

What you will be doing

  • Design and evolve a revolutionary AI-powered learning ecosystem that delivers quantifiable improvements in student achievement
  • Connect with students through digital platforms to gather real-world insights and drive continuous system enhancement
  • Transform learning analytics into actionable strategies using AI/ML capabilities and evidence-based learning principles
  • Lead data-driven experimentation initiatives to accelerate student growth and achievement
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and refine platform features based on academic insights

What you will NOT be doing

  • Creating digital versions of traditional classroom experiences—we're building something entirely new
  • Working in isolation from our end-users—direct student feedback is crucial to our success
  • Getting caught in analysis paralysis—we value bold action backed by data
  • Following conventional educational playbooks—innovation is our standard
  • Approaching AI with hesitation—we embrace it as a transformative educational tool

Key responsibilities

Pioneer the development and optimization of AI-driven, teacher-free educational experiences across multiple campus locations. Combine sophisticated data analysis with direct student interaction to continuously enhance our learning platform, with success measured through concrete metrics including AP exam scores and MAP assessment growth rates.

Candidate requirements

  • Advanced degree (Master's or higher) in Learning Science, Educational Science, Psychology, Instructional Design, or related discipline

  • Demonstrated expertise in applying AI technologies within educational contexts
  • Hands-on experience implementing AI systems for educational applications
  • Deep knowledge of learning science and data-informed educational methodologies
