Performance Coach   $150,000 USD/year

Description

NOTE: This is a full-time, on-site position based at our campuses in Austin, TX, Plano, TX, and Spotswood, NJ.

Join Alpha, where we're revolutionizing education, and be the visionary leader who opens up extraordinary possibilities for our students. If you excel at building high-performance teams and have a passion for innovative youth development, this is your chance to make a significant impact.

In this role, you'll have the freedom and support to elevate our innovative learning approach. Grounded in learning science and driven by adaptive technology, we're setting new benchmarks in education, and your expertise is crucial to our success.

You'll be the driving force, coach, and strategist for our Guides – the frontline facilitators who inspire rather than just teach. Your leadership will define how Alpha Guides engage with students, from crafting playbooks and feedback systems to demonstrating outstanding facilitation skills.

Picture yourself blending elite coaching skills with a hands-on commitment to youth development. Lead a team that ensures our students not only succeed but excel, discovering hidden talents and essential life skills. If you've broken records, turned around struggling ventures, or achieved the "impossible," you'll fit right in.

Why choose Alpha?

  • Competitive pay - we believe you shouldn't have to sacrifice financially to work in education
  • Comprehensive benefits and time off - we value our team and provide a robust benefits package and paid time off
  • Culture of growth and learning - we model the growth & learning we expect from our students, offering coaching, training, and leadership opportunities
  • Relocation assistance for highly qualified candidates

If you know how to build a stellar team, join Alpha and help us revolutionize education!

What you will be doing

  • Train and develop a team of Guides to execute the Alpha learning system with exceptional quality.
  • Create comprehensive Guide Playbooks outlining best practices for facilitation, designing engaging learning activities, and overcoming challenges.
  • Provide regular, actionable feedback to Guides to enhance student engagement and achievement.
  • Mentor a select group of students directly, showcasing expert coaching and motivational techniques.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Drafting lesson plans – your Guides will facilitate learning through adaptive apps; your focus will be on training them to be exemplary facilitators.
  • Lowering standards – if our benchmark is 100%, it's your responsibility to uphold that standard.
  • Delivering monotonous training – you'll engage Guides through dynamic, high-energy, hands-on development sessions.

Key responsibilities

Develop and train a team of Guides to implement the Alpha system with world-class excellence.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in education, learning and development, coaching, or a related field.
