Description

Do you feel your once perfect software engineer job has become stale? Are you looking to position yourself to climb your career ladder? You may want to read further.

GFI offers an award-winning suite of must-have network security and communication software products distributed through our well-established partners. We are looking for a highly skilled engineer who will ensure that GFI products are the go-to solution for small and medium businesses.

As a natural-born problem solver, you will make a direct impact on the development of solutions for information and network security. As an ambitious engineer ready to take on wider responsibilities, you will master our vast selection of software products and handle technology-related issues end-to-end. As someone who loves hands-on coding, you will use your C or C++ network security expertise to provide high-quality coding for high-performance apps.

If you fit the description, you will enjoy this role, which empowers you to help product managers to define product roadmaps, assist support leaders in troubleshooting highly complex product issues, and enable our partners and resellers with high-quality solutions.

What you will be doing

  • Coding new product features - analyze specs and write high-quality code for high-performance apps
  • Product certification and risk assessment - test the functionality of apps, analyze third-party risks to our products, and define mitigation solutions
  • Troubleshooting complex client problems - collect required evidence, locate the problem, debug software, and deliver root cause analyses to engineers

What you will NOT be doing

  • Wasting your brainpower on routine solution implementations - this is not consultancy or client-billable work
  • Getting stuck working on the same product or using the same skills for a long time

Key responsibilities

  • Ensuring the safe and secure business operations of SMBs, and keeping their security solutions up-to-date with the changing and challenging modern IT systems landscape

Candidate requirements

  • At least 3 years of professional C/C++ programming experience
