Description

Are you a Unity Game Developer with a flair for creativity and a passion for transforming education? Join us at gt.school as we pioneer integrating AI into learning, making education not just effective but engaging. Our mission? To revolutionize how students learn by leveraging the power of coaching, gamification, and real-time feedback. And we're inviting you to be a part of this journey.

Your role will be pivotal in developing TeachTower, a game that's not just a tool but a game-changer. Picture a learning environment where knowledge isn't force-fed; it's experienced. Your challenge is to create an app that visualizes students' knowledge, transforming abstract information into a tangible, interactive game. This isn't just about identifying gaps in learning; it's about building a bridge to fill those gaps, making learning a collective, thrilling adventure.

What we offer:

  • The chance to work with cutting-edge technologies and methodologies in education and game development.
  • A platform to showcase your talents and transform ideas into reality, directly impacting how students engage with learning materials.
  • A dynamic, supportive environment where experimentation and innovation are not just encouraged but required.

Ready to make a real difference? Take on our challenge: demonstrate your skills through our comprehensive assessment process, including a 15-minute cognitive test, a 90-minute technical coding challenge, and a practical deep dive into your Unity abilities. Excel, and you'll have the opportunity to discuss your vision and potential contribution with our Hiring Manager.

What you will be doing

  • Brainstorming and proposing game features and mechanics that align with our educational objectives, bringing creativity and technical expertise to the table.
  • Writing clean, efficient Unity code to bring these game concepts to life, ensuring a seamless and engaging user experience for students.
  • Optionally designing and creating game assets, or carefully selecting and integrating high-quality assets from libraries to enrich the game's visuals.
  • Collaborating with product managers and designers to ensure the functionality, reliability, and user-friendliness of the game.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Getting stuck in endless approval loops - we value swift decision-making and autonomy.
  • Isolated tasks - you will collaborate closely with a supportive product and backend team.

Key responsibilities

  • Delivering a high-quality game that serves as the primary interface for students in our cutting-edge computer-based learning environment.

Candidate requirements

  • At least 4 years of experience developing games (any platform).
  • At least 2 years of experience developing 3D Unity games.
  • At least 2 years of experience being the primary technical contributor for a development team OR game.
