Associate Dean of Parents   $200,000 USD/year

Description

Most schools train kids to sit quietly, memorize, and check boxes. At Alpha, we train kids to lead.

Our students master core academics in two hours a day through AI-powered mastery learning. No traditional teachers. No mindless homework. No wasted time. They learn twice as fast, achieve top 1–2% national results, and spend their afternoons mastering life skills like leadership, teamwork, entrepreneurship, and public speaking. This is not a slight improvement over school. It is a complete redesign.

Parents are not just customers in this model. They are partners. Allies. Advocates. You will be responsible for turning parent communities into loyal defenders of a system that most of the education world still resists. You will not be selling. You will not be placating. You will be building conviction, creating alignment, and helping families stand behind something that challenges the status quo.

If you have led grassroots movements, mobilized skeptical communities, or built influence around disruptive missions, you will thrive here. If you prefer smoothing things over or managing relationships quietly, you will not.

Ready to help parents become the strongest defenders of the future of education? Apply now and start building the next generation of leaders.

What you will be doing

  • Designing and leading parent engagement initiatives across three to five campuses to drive true advocacy, not just satisfaction.
  • Acting as the first escalation point for serious parent concerns and resolving them without compromising the learning model.
  • Managing moderate-stakes parent crises at the regional level, reinforcing strength and alignment across communities.
  • Monitoring parent sentiment trends and identifying early signs of friction before they escalate.
  • Building strong peer-to-peer parent networks that independently uphold and spread Alpha’s educational philosophy.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Delegating parent engagement to volunteer committees
  • Running low-effort or transactional events that lack strategic purpose
  • Customizing curriculum or educational practices to make individual parents happy.
  • Treating parent communications as customer support or sending generic, automated responses
  • Pitching Alpha as a product or handling direct sales

Key responsibilities

Create aligned, fiercely loyal parent communities that advocate for Alpha, strengthen enrollment growth, and proactively protect the model's standards and mission.

Candidate requirements

  • Based in the U.S. and legally authorized to work without sponsorship
  • Able to travel to Alpha campuses as needed (some preference for West Coast or Midwest-based candidates for travel ease)
  • 5+ years of experience in stakeholder management, grassroots organizing, or community mobilization
  • Proven success influencing high-pressure or skeptical audiences without diluting the mission
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills under pressure
  • Deep belief in Alpha’s bold, nontraditional model—and the willingness to defend it even when challenged

Nice to have

  • Experience leading engagement across multiple sites, campuses, or regions
