Admissions and Campus Coordinator   $75,000 USD/year

Description

LOCATION NOTE: This is an in-person role located at our Santa Barbara, CA campus.

If you're the kind of person who thrives on making things happen, not waiting for permission, this is your kind of role. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of Alpha’s newest campuses and make an indelible mark from day one. You won’t just be part of the team. You’ll help shape the culture, set the standard, and grow alongside the campus as it scales.

At Alpha, we’re not here to maintain the status quo. We’re building something better for students and families. We’re looking for someone who can take full ownership of both the experience of enrolling new families and the daily operations that keep our campus running smoothly.

This is not your average admissions role. You won’t be stuck behind a desk sending canned emails or lost in admin drudgery. Instead, you’ll lead high-impact family tours, build trust with prospective parents, and guide them through a seamless, personalized admissions journey. At the same time, you’ll ensure our campus is safe, compliant, and always ready to welcome students and families with confidence.

Alpha is a K–12 private school that reimagines how children learn. We use adaptive apps and expert Guides to deliver personalized, mastery-based education that prepares students for life, not just tests. In this role, you’ll be the front line of that mission, making it real for every family who walks through our doors.

If you're based in or ready to relocate to Santa Barbara, and you're ready to grow fast while doing meaningful work, we want to hear from you.

What you will be doing

  • Leading personalized, high-conversion family tours that articulate Alpha’s three commitments and inspire confidence in our model.
  • Managing and executing proactive communication strategies with prospective families to move them through the admissions funnel.
  • Enforcing rigorous safety and safeguarding protocols to create a visibly secure environment for students and families.
  • Overseeing all aspects of facilities management, from preventative maintenance to vendor coordination and repair oversight.
  • Continuously analyzing data to refine processes and improve both operational efficiency and enrollment outcomes.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Being confined to a single, repetitive administrative task or siloed department.
  • Working under rigid, top-down micromanagement that stifles your initiative.
  • Navigating bureaucratic red tape that slows down meaningful progress.
  • Focusing only on paperwork, disconnected from the students and families you serve.

Key responsibilities

Own and execute a seamless, high-impact admissions journey while maintaining a safe, high-functioning campus environment, enabling Alpha to grow and deliver on its promise to families.

Candidate requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in school admissions, engagement, or customer-facing roles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High emotional intelligence, initiative, and self-management.
  • Familiarity with or openness to learning school operations.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship.
  • Must be available to work in person in Santa Barbara, CA.
