Admissions Associate   $75,000 USD/year

Description

NOTE: This is a hybrid role that requires physical presence in either Austin, San Francisco, Santa Barbara, or NYC.

Alpha School is redefining what education can be. Through AI-driven learning, mastery-based progression, and exceptional guides, Alpha empowers students to pursue deep interests while achieving extraordinary academic outcomes.

In this role, you’ll shape each family’s journey from first contact to enrollment, ensuring every interaction reflects Alpha’s clarity, warmth, and rigor. You’ll oversee daily communications, coordinate memorable admissions events, and maintain accurate applicant records that enable confident decisions.

If you thrive in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment—where responsiveness, organization, and precision directly impact family satisfaction and enrollment growth—this hybrid position offers both remote work and regular in-person engagement at admissions events.

What you will be doing

Own and manage the admissions inbox, ensuring timely, thoughtful, and professional communication with prospective families (virtually and in person)

Process and track digital admissions paperwork with exceptional attention to detail

Participate in all admissions-related events, including info sessions, shadow days, and community events, both on campus and online

Coordinate closely with Lead Guides to schedule student shadow days

Keep admissions systems, records, and follow-ups accurate and up to date

What you will NOT be doing

  • Design admissions strategy or make final admissions decisions
  • Work in a purely behind-the-scenes role with no family interaction
  • Operate in a slow, highly bureaucratic environment
  • Focus only on relationship-building without strong follow-through and execution

Key responsibilities

This role exists so that a seamless, high-conversion admissions experience drives strong enrollment and family satisfaction across Alpha’s campuses.

Candidate requirements

  • Background in education, as a teacher, in admissions, enrollment management, or a related field
  • 2+ years of customer-facing experience in admissions, enrollment, events, or related roles
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills; you are highly reliable and detail-oriented
  • High attention to detail and experience maintaining accurate applicant records or CRM data
  • Comfortable balancing remote work with in-person campus responsibilities
  • Able to adapt quickly and thrive in a dynamic, mission-driven environment
  • Authorized to work in the US and able to work in-person in either Austin; TX, San Francisco; CA, Santa Barbara; CA or NYC; NY
