Senior Associate   $100,000 USD/year

Description

  • On-site at Alpha campuses in Denver, CO | Atlanta, GA | Oklahoma City, OK | Nashville, TN | Fort Worth, TX | Houston, TX (Central Houston, South Houston, or The Woodlands) | Park City, UT (relocation assistance available)
  • $100,000 annual salary, paid weekly. Full health, dental, and vision coverage from day one

The kindest thing you can do for a student who achieved 99% of their target is to insist it's not complete. If that principle feels harsh to you, this position won't be a fit. If it energizes you because you understand that maintaining high standards is how you demonstrate belief in a student's capability, read on.

Alpha operates differently from conventional schools. Students complete a full day's worth of academics in roughly two hours using adaptive software. No traditional lectures. No textbooks. Your role centers on what technology cannot replicate: developing life skills in K-8 students—public speaking, concentration, and constructive feedback exchange. You'll spend half your day facilitating structured, hands-on workshops built on proven playbooks and narrative techniques. The remaining time is dedicated to individual and small-group sessions where you analyze student performance in adaptive learning platforms via Coachbot analytics and drive them toward 100% weekly goal completion. Mastery is validated through Test2Pass assessments, not effort-based grades.

During your first year, you'll lead a student cohort and become fluent in Alpha's operational framework: life skill workshops, motivational coaching, and mastery-based evaluation. Once you demonstrate consistent ability to guide every student to 100% goal attainment while maintaining satisfaction ratings above 90%, advancement to Lead Guide becomes available—a role where you mentor fellow Guides while remaining directly engaged with students. Top performers don't merely impact individual trajectories; they influence campus-wide culture and outcomes.

If you've dedicated years to coaching, counseling, or mentoring young people and have longed to eliminate traditional instruction in favor of genuine developmental work, this opportunity is designed for you.

What you will be doing

  • Facilitating one-hour life skill workshops for K-8 students covering public speaking, concentration, teamwork, and constructive feedback practices (experiential and project-driven)
  • Conducting daily individual and small-group coaching sessions to review student progress in adaptive learning platforms (via Coachbot analytics), establish targets, and drive 100% weekly goal completion
  • Overseeing and scoring Test2Pass assessments to verify genuine life skill mastery rather than simple attendance
  • Flexing your coaching approach across kindergarteners requiring dynamic, kinesthetic engagement and 8th graders needing direct accountability conversations
  • Cultivating authentic relationships with each student that create the trust necessary for effective coaching through resistance, distraction, and uncertainty

What you will NOT be doing

  • Delivering lectures or traditional academic content (core subjects are mastered through adaptive applications, not instructor-led lessons)
  • Creating lesson plans or original curriculum (Alpha supplies life skills playbooks; your responsibility is dynamic delivery through storytelling and presence)
  • Handling parent communications or administrative duties (Campus Leads manage these functions; your focus remains on students)
  • Evaluating homework or preparing students for standardized tests (these elements don't exist in Alpha's model)
  • Operating independently (you function within a collaborative campus team including Lead Guides, Campus Leads, and colleagues who exchange feedback and mutual accountability)

Key responsibilities

Guarantee that every student in your cohort develops a love for learning, achieves mastery of critical life skills, and reaches 100% of their academic targets using adaptive learning technology.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline
  • 3+ years of direct experience working with K-8 students (teaching, coaching, counseling, or youth program management)
  • Demonstrated history of coaching or motivating K-8 students toward academic, behavioral, or extracurricular objectives, with at least one concrete example you can articulate (the objective, your interventions, and the result)
  • Daily use of generative AI platforms (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude)
  • Able to work on-site at an Alpha campus in Denver, CO; Atlanta, GA; Oklahoma City, OK; Nashville, TN; Fort Worth, TX; Houston, TX (Central Houston, South Houston, or The Woodlands); or Park City, UT (relocation assistance provided)
  • Authorization to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship

Nice to have

  • Background in youth sports coaching, camp facilitation, or after-school programming where you held direct responsibility for motivating children toward defined objectives
  • History of significant personal accomplishment (academic distinction, competitive sports, or leadership positions demanding consistent excellence)
  • Innate storytelling skill: you can maintain engagement with a group of 12-year-olds for an hour without elevating volume
  • Success motivating disengaged or reluctant students and converting them into engaged contributors
