Alpha Schools replaces traditional lectures and textbooks with AI-driven adaptive learning paired with peer-level mentorship. Students advance at their individual pace. Your role is to guide them toward uncovering their strengths, not to deliver predetermined lessons.
This position is designed for high performers eager to direct that energy toward transforming a failing system. You will not grade assignments or adhere to a fixed curriculum. Instead, you'll facilitate workshops, spark curiosity, and demonstrate that learning becomes limitless when students take ownership of their education.

What you will be doing
- Building meaningful connections with K-8 students as a trusted mentor, cultivating confidence and a growth-oriented mindset
- Leveraging AI and adaptive learning platforms to customize educational pathways—students advance at their own speed while you facilitate discovery
- Creating and facilitating life-skills workshops (including public speaking, goal-setting, and collaboration) that equip students for sustained success
- Cultivating an environment of curiosity, ambition, and development—supporting students in recognizing their unique strengths and passions
Candidate requirements
- Bachelor's degree in any subject
- Strong public speaking skills, with a demonstrated ability to engage and energize audiences
- A desire to connect, inspire, and motivate K-8th grade students
- 3 year's experience coaching or mentoring children
- Legal right to work in the US without visa sponsorship
- Willingness to work in-person at one of our campuses: Austin, TX; Brownsville, TX; or Fort Worth, TX.
- Able to attend a paid training program at our Austin, TX campus
