Alpha Schools replaces conventional lectures and textbooks with AI-driven adaptive learning paired with peer-level mentorship. Each student advances at an individual pace. Your role is to guide them toward discovering their own strengths, not to deliver pre-written lesson plans.
This position is designed for high achievers who want to apply that energy to repairing a flawed educational model. You will not spend time grading assignments or adhering to rigid curricula. Instead, you will facilitate workshops, spark curiosity, and demonstrate that learning becomes limitless when students take ownership of their education.

What you will be doing
- Building meaningful relationships with K-8 students as a mentor, establishing trust and fostering a mindset without limits
- Leveraging AI and adaptive learning platforms to customize educational pathways—students move forward at their individual pace while you facilitate discovery
- Creating and facilitating life-skills workshops (including public speaking, goal-setting, and collaboration) that equip students for long-term success
- Cultivating an environment of curiosity, ambition, and development—support students in recognizing their unique strengths and passions
Candidate requirements
- Bachelor's degree in any field
- Proven public speaking abilities, with a track record of engaging and energizing audiences
- A genuine interest in connecting with, inspiring, and motivating K-8th grade students
- 3 years of experience coaching or mentoring children
- Legal authorization to work in the US without requiring visa sponsorship
- Willingness to work on-site at one of our campuses: Austin, TX; Brownsville, TX; or Fort Worth, TX
- Ability to participate in a paid training program at our Austin, TX campus
