Do you believe that every child should achieve grade-level reading ability—or exceed it—yet find yourself frustrated by ineffective systems that squander their promise?

Alpha School is demonstrating that literacy transformation doesn't demand 6-hour school days. We combine AI-adaptive technology with skilled teaching through our 2-Hour Learning framework to produce accelerated reading progress. Your objective: create and execute workshops that yield measurable improvements in phonics, fluency, and comprehension for early elementary learners, then support the expansion of this program to campuses nationwide.

This role is not about administrative paperwork or generic lesson plans. It centers on data-informed teaching, collaboration with technology teams, and constructing a reading initiative that serves thousands of students effectively.

Lead instruction. Embrace development. Submit your application today.

  • Conducting adaptive reading workshops focused on developing phonics, comprehension, and fluency competencies
  • Creating individualized motivational experiences that leverage gamified literacy benchmarks

  • Partnering with engineering teams to assess and improve AI-powered literacy platforms using classroom evidence
  • Producing scalable, AI-integrated materials that support early elementary learners in reaching grade-level reading proficiency

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree paired with advanced certification in reading instruction (such as Orton-Gillingham, Wilson, or comparable programs)
  • Minimum of 2 years providing small-group reading interventions to early elementary students
  • Capable of evaluating reading proficiency, organizing student cohorts, and crafting differentiated instruction independent of pre-existing curricula
  • Experienced with AI/adaptive learning platforms and adept at responding to student engagement patterns within these tools
  • Authorized to work legally in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship
  • Available to work on-site at one of our locations: Austin, TX; Fort Worth, TX; Plano, TX; Tampa, FL; or Dorado, Puerto Rico
