Alpha School is transforming early childhood education through a new model that moves beyond traditional instruction. As a Reading Interventionist, you will guide Kindergarten through 2nd-grade students as they build curiosity, independence, and resilience in their learning journeys. This role moves beyond the conventional classroom structure—you will serve as a learning coach, supporting young students as they develop foundational skills and confidence.

Our 2-Hour Learning program represents a departure from conventional methods, combining AI-powered adaptive technology with direct, evidence-based instruction in literacy and writing. Students benefit from personalized digital learning experiences alongside essential hands-on mentorship grounded in scientific educational approaches. This dual framework ensures comprehensive development—academic, social, and emotional—for every young learner under your guidance.

Alpha offers more than a teaching position. You will receive competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for professional advancement within a technology-integrated educational setting. If you are committed to advancing education and skilled at fostering meaningful relationships with young learners, this role is designed for you.

What you will be doing

  • Guide students in establishing and pursuing personal learning objectives, cultivating self-directed learning habits.
  • Deliver focused instruction in social-emotional competencies and core literacy skills, working alongside Reading Specialists.
  • Create a classroom atmosphere that promotes curiosity and perseverance through hands-on, interactive learning activities.
  • Integrate AI-driven educational tools to improve learning outcomes, equipping students for a future where technology enhances conventional teaching approaches.
  • Work closely with educators and counselors to support the distinct learning path of each student, responding to their individual needs and learning preferences.

What you will NOT be doing

🚫 Depending exclusively on conventional teaching techniques without incorporating innovative educational technology.

🚫 Applying standardized instructional methods—at Alpha, we honor and cultivate individual learning differences.

🚫 Prioritizing academic content at the expense of emotional and social development.
