At Alpha, this isn't up for discussion—it's operational reality. Academic content is delivered through self-guided applications, not instructor-led lectures. This structure allows you to focus on what truly transforms outcomes: facilitating high-energy sessions on public speaking, concentration, and feedback skills. You'll drive every student toward goal achievement using live analytics. You'll also mentor the Guides working beside you. Your instruments are performance data, a field-tested methodology, and the executive presence that compels middle schoolers to engage rather than disengage.
You will assume full ownership of a student cohort and be measured on three deliverables: students demonstrate enthusiasm for school, they progress academically at double the rate of conventional classrooms, and they acquire practical life competencies. Guide coaching begins immediately. As you scale results, your authority over campus-wide program standards expands accordingly.

What you will be doing
- Facilitating one-hour live workshops focused on life competencies (public speaking, concentration, feedback delivery and reception) for students in grades K-8, adhering to Alpha's established playbook
- Conducting motivation sessions leveraging Coachbot analytics and Alpha's reward framework (campus currency, performance leaderboards) to achieve 100% student goal attainment
- Mentoring Guides on program adherence and standards enforcement, ensuring each coaching interaction generates concrete action steps for improvement
- Managing your assigned student cohort while simultaneously developing other Guides
- Monitoring student satisfaction metrics, goal completion percentages, and Guide performance indicators
What you will NOT be doing
- Providing direct instruction or tutoring in academic content. App-based learning handles all subject matter delivery.
- Creating curriculum or preparing lesson plans. Alpha's playbook serves as your operational framework, allowing you to concentrate on execution and relationship-building.
- Accepting 99% performance when 100% is the target. Maintaining this boundary demonstrates your belief in student capability.
- Coaching Guides on instructional pedagogy. Since Guides do not teach content, your coaching focuses on enthusiasm, motivation, and accountability systems.

Candidate requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Business, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in education, learning and development (L&D), coaching, or a related field
- Demonstrated experience creating and executing educational programs, training initiatives, or curricula
- Proven experience in team leadership, including responsibility for hiring and performance-based termination decisions
- Direct experience working with youth ages 5-14 in educational or developmental contexts
- Track record of using data analysis and performance metrics to inform decisions and drive continuous improvement
- Able to work in-person at an Alpha campus location in Atlanta, GA or Keller (Fort Worth), TX
- Authorized to work legally in the United States
Nice to have
- Master's degree in Education, Psychology, Business, or a related field
- Experience in athletic coaching, camp counseling, or youth performance programs with measurable outcomes and enforced performance standards
- Proven ability to motivate large student groups
