Director of Learning   $200,000 USD/year

Description

Ready to revolutionize education through the power of AI? Welcome to the future of learning.

At 2 Hour Learning, we're pioneering an AI-first approach that's shattering traditional educational paradigms. Our students aren't just succeeding – they're achieving extraordinary results, scoring 4s and 5s on multiple AP exams and showing unprecedented growth on MAP assessments.

As our Director of Learning, you'll be the visionary architect behind an educational revolution. You'll harness cutting-edge AI technology to create personalized learning experiences that adapt in real-time to each student's needs. This isn't about incremental improvements – it's about fundamentally transforming how students learn and achieve.

If you're passionate about using AI to unlock human potential and aren't afraid to challenge educational conventions, we want you on our team. Together, we'll redefine what's possible in education – no traditional teachers required.

What you will be doing

Your mission will be to revolutionize education through AI-powered innovation:

  • Design and evolve a groundbreaking AI learning ecosystem that delivers exceptional student outcomes
  • Connect with students virtually to gather crucial insights and drive continuous platform enhancement
  • Transform learning data into actionable strategies using advanced AI/ML techniques
  • Lead experimentation initiatives that push the boundaries of educational achievement
  • Collaborate with technical teams to translate educational insights into powerful product features

What you will NOT be doing

Let's be clear about what this role isn't:

  • Digitizing traditional classroom methods – we're creating something entirely new
  • Running numbers in a vacuum – direct student engagement is key to our success
  • Playing it safe – we need a bold innovator who follows the data
  • Following conventional wisdom – you'll pioneer new approaches to learning
  • Resisting AI advancement – you'll embrace AI as the catalyst for educational transformation

Key responsibilities

Your core mission is to spearhead the development and optimization of our AI-powered, teacher-free educational system across multiple campuses. Success will be measured through concrete metrics: exceptional AP exam scores and significant MAP assessment growth. You'll achieve this by masterfully combining data analytics with direct student feedback to continuously evolve our learning ecosystem.

Candidate requirements

The ideal candidate will bring:

  • Advanced degree (Master's or higher) in Learning Science, Educational Science, Psychology, Psychometrics, Instructional Design, or related field
  • Proven leadership track record in education or EdTech sectors
  • Hands-on experience implementing AI solutions in educational contexts
  • Expertise in designing AI systems for educational applications
  • Deep understanding of learning science and data-driven educational methodologies
  • Excellence in communicating complex concepts to diverse stakeholders
  • Strong track record in cross-functional team leadership and project management
