What you will be doing
- Facilitating Workshops: Create and deliver workshops that prompt students to think, "I never knew I was capable of this!" Covering topics from public speaking to entrepreneurship, you'll instruct practical skills that motivate.
- Conducting daily Motivation Sessions: Begin each day guiding students to establish ambitious goals and develop the mindset to achieve them.
- Fostering student achievement: Apply tested frameworks to ensure each student reaches demanding academic and personal objectives.
- Developing personalized motivational approaches: Collaborate with students to create reward systems and incentives that encourage self-motivated excellence.
What you will NOT be doing
- Conventional instruction: Set aside chalkboards and lecturing. Students at Alpha utilize advanced applications to master foundational subjects—your function is to mentor, motivate, and enhance their educational experience.
- Imposing discipline: Punishment-based approaches aren't our philosophy. You'll employ reasoning and positive reinforcement to foster a respectful, stimulating atmosphere.
Candidate requirements
- Willingness to work in person in Brownsville, TX. Relocation assistance is available.
- Bachelor's degree in any subject.
- Experience employing a growth mindset to achieve a high level of performance
- High level of energy and a desire to boost others up.
- A desire to connect, inspire, and motivate K-8th grade students.
- Legal right to work in the US without visa sponsorship.
