You've built your career coaching students — not simply instructing them. You understand the distinction: coaching means connecting, pushing boundaries, and refusing to accept mediocrity from those you work with. Instruction is about delivering information. You've never seen yourself as a human lecture machine.
Alpha operates a school model unlike anything you've encountered. Students don't occupy traditional classroom seats listening to lectures. Instead, they progress through AI-driven educational software at individualized speeds. The AI manages instructional delivery. Your responsibility centers on facilitating life skills workshops that capture K-8 students' focus, conducting motivational sessions that drive weekly learning target achievement, and maintaining standards when students attempt to take shortcuts. Academic progression is automated. You manage the relational and developmental components.
This position offers meaningful upward trajectory, and that trajectory leads to greater student influence. Coaches who reliably achieve performance benchmarks (100% cohort attainment of weekly app objectives, satisfaction ratings at or above 90%) advance into Lead Guide positions where they mentor fellow educators in refining their practice. Student outcomes remain central.

What you will be doing
- Facilitating hour-long life skills workshops for K-8 students addressing topics including public speaking, concentration, and constructive feedback exchange
- Administering Test2Pass mastery evaluations following each workshop to verify authentic skill acquisition rather than passive attendance
- Conducting daily motivational sessions informed by student profiles, personal interests, and Coachbot data analytics to ensure 100% of your cohort achieves weekly app progression targets
- Leveraging narrative techniques, incentive structures (campus currency, performance leaderboards), and individual relationships to overcome student reluctance
- Monitoring cohort satisfaction metrics with a target of 90%+ positive ratings on student feedback surveys
What you will NOT be doing
- Delivering traditional board-based lectures. Academic advancement occurs through self-paced AI-powered applications, not through direct instruction from you.
- Providing passive supervision. The environment involves students using computers; the role demands active facilitation and engagement.
- Compromising standards in response to student resistance. Test2Pass expectations remain consistent even when students face challenging circumstances.
- Creating original curriculum materials. Workshop frameworks and lesson plans are supplied; your responsibility is executing them with the interpersonal skill and narrative ability that ensures genuine student learning.
- Handling parent communications, admissions processes, or campus administration. Those functions belong to separate roles.

Candidate requirements
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline
- Minimum 3 years of direct experience working with K-8 (elementary and middle school) age students
- Demonstrated storytelling ability and facilitation skills — capacity to maintain children's engagement throughout hour-long sessions
- Availability to work on-site at Alpha's Brownsville, TX campus location
- Authorization to work legally in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship
Nice to have
- Experience as a sports coach, camp counselor, or youth program leader
- Demonstrated history of achievement in competitive settings (academic, athletic, or professional domains)
- Familiarity with self-directed or technology-based learning models
