What you will be doing
- Inspiring students daily by embodying a love for learning and a commitment to both athletic and personal growth.
- Empowering students with problem-solving strategies and the mindset to overcome academic and life challenges independently.
- Leading invigorating morning sessions that set the tone for a day filled with motivation and enthusiasm.
- Providing mentorship to navigate social pressures, cultivating a community of support and inclusion.
- Conducting life skills and sports practice sessions, instilling leadership, teamwork, grit, and perseverance in the afternoons.
What you will NOT be doing
- Traditional classroom teaching or tutoring; your focus is on coaching students in learning and problem-solving.
- Remaining passive; active participation with students in both their academic and athletic journeys is essential.
- Applying a one-size-fits-all approach; your role involves personalized mentorship and understanding what motivates each student.
Key responsibilities
Candidate requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in any subject.
- Proven excellence in athletics, such as Olympic, national/world champion, pro/semi-pro athlete, or D1 collegiate athlete experience.
- Strong academic achievements, demonstrating a balance of intellectual and physical excellence.
- Exceptional motivational skills with a talent for energizing and engaging students.
- Commitment to personal development, mentoring students in life skills through athletic discipline.
- Available for in-person work in Austin, TX.
- Legal authorization to work in the US without visa sponsorship.
Nice to have
- Experience in educational settings or youth sports coaching.
- Background in psychology, education, or a related field that enhances mentorship and personal development capabilities.
