Description

Do you recognize mathematical patterns that escape others? Consider applying that ability, paired with modern AI tools, to reshape mathematics instruction for millions of students. 2 Hour Learning is actively building the future of math education through practical implementation.

We are looking for a mathematics specialist to lead our work in reengineering math instruction via sophisticated data analysis, practical AI integration, and comprehensive domain knowledge. The objective: accelerate student mastery of mathematical topics—from foundational arithmetic through advanced calculus—by a factor of two.

If you are committed to applying AI toward solving authentic mathematics education problems, derive satisfaction from discovering insights that reshape student comprehension and application of mathematical ideas, and are motivated by the opportunity to define the trajectory of math instruction, we invite your application. Join our effort to expand the boundaries of K-12 mathematics education. Submit your application and contribute to the learning transformation at 2 Hour Learning.

Additional details about 2 Hour Learning are available on our website [https://2hourlearning.com/] and the Future of Education Instagram page [https://www.instagram.com/futureof_education/]. To observe a school structured around 2 Hour Learning principles, visit Alpha [https://alpha.school/].

What you will be doing

  • Identify underlying patterns in student performance data through AI analysis, converting these findings into actionable strategies that transform mathematics instruction and learning.
  • Develop targeted math exercises and instructional units using AI tools, guaranteeing each learner encounters appropriately calibrated challenges at optimal moments to maximize learning velocity.
  • Build AI-enhanced learning sequences that adjust dynamically, rendering sophisticated mathematical topics comprehensible and compelling for students across proficiency levels.
  • Work alongside a cross-functional team of education specialists and AI practitioners to expand the frontiers of mathematics instruction, directly shaping the educational experience of thousands of learners.
  • Convert abstract mathematical principles into accessible, AI-augmented materials that students grasp thoroughly and approach with enthusiasm.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Overseeing conventional math programs or performing administrative duties—this position centers on innovation and strategic enhancement of mathematics instruction and learning.
  • Operating independently—you will join a collaborative team advancing the application of AI in mathematics education.
  • Concentrating on abstract theory detached from implementation—each algorithm you create will directly influence student comprehension and mastery of mathematical content.

Key responsibilities

Produce quantifiable gains in student mathematics learning outcomes via AI-supported analysis and execution, evidenced by a 2x acceleration in concept mastery spanning multiple mathematical domains and grade levels.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience teaching mathematics or developing math curriculum, with demonstrable impact on learning outcomes
  • Basic coding abilities in any programming language
  • Experience designing, implementing, or using AI systems for tasks such as content generation, data analysis, or adaptive learning
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data and derive actionable insights from it
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex mathematical concepts to diverse stakeholders in a professional setting
