Math Subject Matter Expert   $100,000 USD/year

Description

Do you identify numerical patterns that escape others? Consider applying that skill, paired with advanced AI, to reshape mathematics instruction for millions of learners. At 2 Hour Learning, we are building—not theorizing about—the next generation of math education.

We are looking for a mathematics specialist to lead our initiative in reengineering math instruction through rigorous data analysis, strategic AI integration, and comprehensive subject expertise. Your objective? To achieve a twofold increase in the rate at which students acquire mathematical proficiency, spanning from foundational arithmetic through advanced calculus.

If you are committed to applying AI to address authentic challenges in mathematics education, derive satisfaction from discovering insights that alter how students grasp and use mathematical principles, and are motivated by the opportunity to influence the trajectory of math learning, we invite your application. Join us in expanding the boundaries of K-12 mathematics instruction. Apply today and contribute to the educational transformation at 2 Hour Learning!

What you will be doing

  • Identify latent patterns within student learning data through AI, converting these findings into methodologies that transform mathematics instruction and comprehension.
  • Develop optimized math exercises and instructional materials using AI, delivering precise challenges at appropriate intervals to enhance learning velocity.
  • Build AI-driven instructional sequences that adjust dynamically, rendering advanced mathematical topics approachable and compelling for learners across proficiency levels.
  • Partner with education and AI specialists to expand the frontiers of mathematics instruction, directly influencing the educational experience of thousands of students.
  • Translate complex mathematical frameworks into clear, AI-augmented materials that students comprehend and find engaging.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Overseeing conventional math programs or performing administrative duties—this position centers on innovation and strategic enhancement of mathematics instruction.
  • Operating independently—you will collaborate within a forward-thinking team advancing AI applications in math education.
  • Concentrating on abstract theory detached from practice—each algorithm you create will have direct implications for student learning and mathematical understanding.

Key responsibilities

Produce quantifiable enhancements in student mathematics achievement through AI-supported analysis and execution, evidenced by a 2x improvement in concept acquisition speed across diverse mathematical topics and grade levels.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience teaching mathematics or developing math curriculum, with demonstrable impact on learning outcomes
  • Basic coding abilities in any programming language
  • Experience designing, implementing, or using AI systems for tasks such as content generation, data analysis, or adaptive learning
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data and derive actionable insights from it
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex mathematical concepts to diverse stakeholders in a professional setting
