You'll support students in reaching their full potential within a modern, technology-enhanced educational setting.

  • Location: Miami, FL campus
  • Hours: Part-time or full-time available (10 hours per week minimum)
  • Schedule: Flexible within school hours, Mon - Fri, 8 am - 4 pm
  • Pay: $30 per hour ($60,000 salary + benefits for full-time)
  • Start date: Immediate

What you will be doing

  • Setting up materials, equipment, and learning spaces for workshops and sessions.
  • Assisting academic staff with instructional support.
  • Monitoring and facilitating student participation.
  • Managing schedules and overseeing smooth transitions between sessions.
  • Learning from leaders who are transforming K-12 education.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Remaining passive: You won't simply observe or supervise from a distance; you'll actively engage in students' learning experiences.
  • Being unprepared: You won't be asked to deliver lectures, lead full classes, or provide emotional coaching (yet); those responsibilities belong to the Guide.
  • Performing tasks without purpose: This isn't a routine job. Your work directly contributes to students' development and success, making every hour meaningful.

Key responsibilities

Assist Guides in fulfilling Alpha's core commitments to students: promoting academic achievement, building life skills, and cultivating a passion for learning.

Candidate requirements

  • Available to work in person at our Miami campus.
  • Commit to a minimum of 10 hours per week, with complete flexibility to set your schedule during school hours (Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM). Full-time position available.
  • Prior experience working with children.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Friendly, approachable demeanor with children.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship.
