  • Hours: Part-time or full-time availability (10 hours per week minimum)
  • Schedule: Flexible scheduling within school hours, Mon - Fri, 8 am - 4 pm
  • Pay: $30 per hour ($60,000 salary + benefits for full-time)
  • Start date: Immediate

What you will be doing

  • Setting up materials, equipment, and environments for workshops and learning sessions.
  • Assisting academic staff with operational support.
  • Guiding and observing student participation.
  • Organizing schedules and overseeing transitions between sessions.
  • Receiving mentorship from leaders transforming K-12 education.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Staying passive: You won't merely observe or supervise from a distance; you'll be actively engaged in supporting students throughout their learning experience.
  • Experiencing burnout: You won't be expected to deliver lectures, lead instruction, or provide emotional coaching (yet); those responsibilities belong to the Guide.
  • Engaging in meaningless tasks: This isn't simply another job. You'll fulfill a genuine role in supporting children's development and success, ensuring every hour you contribute has purpose.

Key responsibilities

Assist Guides in fulfilling Alpha's core promises to students: guaranteeing academic achievement, developing life skills, and cultivating a passion for learning.

Candidate requirements

  • Available to work on-site at our Miami campus.
  • Commit to a minimum of 10 hours per week, with complete flexibility to select your schedule during school hours (Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM). Full-time position available.
  • Prior experience working with children.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Friendly, approachable demeanor suited for working with kids.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
