  • Location: Miami, FL campus
  • Hours: Part-time or full-time available (10 hours per week minimum)
  • Schedule: Flexible within school hours, Mon - Fri, 8 am - 4 pm
  • Pay: $30 per hour ($60,000 salary + benefits for full-time)
  • Start date: Immediate

What you will be doing

  • Preparing equipment, materials, and spaces for sessions and workshops.
  • Supporting academic staff in their daily activities.
  • Monitoring and facilitating student engagement.
  • Managing session transitions and coordinating schedules.
  • Receiving mentorship from leaders who are transforming K-12 education.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Observing passively: You won't simply supervise or remain in the background; you'll actively engage in supporting students throughout their learning experience.
  • Becoming overwhelmed: You are not required to lecture, lead full classes, or provide emotional coaching (yet); those responsibilities belong to the Guide.
  • Performing tasks without purpose: This role goes beyond a typical job. You will contribute meaningfully to helping children thrive and develop, ensuring every hour you invest truly counts.

Key responsibilities

Assist Guides in fulfilling Alpha's promises to students: guaranteeing academic achievement, cultivating life skills, and developing a genuine love for learning.

Candidate requirements

  • Available to work in person at our Miami campus.
  • Commit to a minimum of 10 hours per week, with complete flexibility to select your schedule during school hours (Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM). Full-time position available.
  • Prior experience working with children.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Approachable, kid-friendly demeanor.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship.
