Your role will not involve managing 30 students or adhering to district-mandated lesson plans. Instead, you'll guide small cohorts of self-motivated learners who are ready to progress faster, explore more deeply, and take ownership of their academic journey. What you will be doing
- Engaging students daily through direct mentorship and peer-level motivation
- Leveraging adaptive learning technology and AI platforms to enable individualized pacing for each student
- Facilitating small-group sessions that build life skills, leadership capabilities, and practical success strategies
- Guiding students to identify personal strengths and broaden their aspirations via customized development plans
- Providing data, observations, and innovative ideas that advance Alpha's evolving learning framework
What you will NOT be doing
- Delivering instruction in core academic subjects - technology handles that

Candidate requirements
- Ability to work in-person at Lake Forest (Orange County), CA; Palo Alto, CA; Piedmont, CA; Santa Barbara, CA; Santa Monica, CA; Fort Lauderdale, FL; Miami, FL; Chicago, IL; Boston, MA; Raleigh, NC; Portland, OR; Seattle, WA
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline
- Proven track record of high achievement (e.g. top academic distinctions, D1/Olympic-level athletics, national-level competitions, etc.)
- 3 years of direct experience working with K–8 students in mentoring, coaching, or teaching roles
- Excellent communication and public speaking capabilities
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship
