Learning Guide   $120,000 USD/year

Description

  • Onsite role in Miami, NYC, San Francisco, or Santa Barbara
  • $120,000 annual salary with weekly pay. Health benefits from day one, HSA/FSA, 401(k) Roth
  • Relocation assistance available if needed

Traditional classrooms confine exceptional students to a pace designed for the average learner.

Alpha operates on a fundamentally different model: we enable student-driven learning that scales with ability rather than calendar.

This role does not involve overseeing rows of desks or executing standardized curricula. Instead, you will guide small cohorts of self-motivated students who seek accelerated progress, intellectual depth, and ownership of their academic trajectory. If your success has come from unconventional channels—competitive arenas, athletics, startups, or creative disciplines—and you understand how to convert ambition into measurable outcomes, you will translate that expertise into student achievement.

Teaching credentials are not necessary. Exceptional performance is.

Shape high-potential learners. Accelerate futures. Apply today.

What you will be doing

  • Engaging students daily through direct mentorship and coaching—no traditional lectures, only high-impact guidance
  • Leveraging adaptive learning technology and AI tools to enable individualized pacing for each learner
  • Facilitating small-group sessions on practical life skills, leadership development, and strategies for real-world achievement
  • Supporting students in identifying personal strengths and setting ambitious goals through customized development plans
  • Providing data, observations, and innovative thinking to refine and evolve Alpha's educational approach

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline
  • Proven track record of exceptional achievement (e.g. top academic distinctions, D1/Olympic athletics, national-level competitions, etc.)
  • 3 years of direct experience mentoring, coaching, or instructing K–8 students
  • Excellent verbal communication and public speaking abilities
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship
  • Ability to work onsite in Miami, FL; New York City, NY; Santa Barbara, CA; or San Francisco, CA
