Long-term role

Campus Coordinator   $75,000 USD/year

Description

LOCATION NOTE: This is an in-person role located at one of our campuses.

A well-functioning campus goes unnoticed. A poorly run one affects everyone. This position ensures Alpha campuses operate with consistency, safety, and confidence—every day.

Alpha is constructing one of the world's most ambitious education models. Our classrooms operate at speed. Our expectations are high. That demands campus operations that are disciplined, responsive, and designed to scale. This position is accountable for everything beyond the classroom that enables students and Guides to deliver their best work.

In this position, you serve as the operational foundation of the campus. You handle parent and staff communication, manage safety and security protocols, maintain smooth facilities and logistics operations, and ensure reliable technology access for students and staff. You intervene when issues arise, identify risks before they grow, and provide structured stability in fast-moving environments.

This is not a limited coordinator position. It is a hands-on, high-visibility role for someone who excels with responsibility, variety, and execution. If you seek work where your choices directly impact student safety, staff performance, and parent confidence, this role provides genuine ownership and accountability.

What you will be doing

  • Serving as a primary contact point for parents, students, and staff to deliver timely, clear, and professional communication
  • Managing safety operations on campus including access control, health incidents, emergency drills, documentation, and parent notifications
  • Overseeing daily logistics such as attendance processes, transportation coordination, facilities upkeep, and office operations
  • Supporting the onboarding and training of new staff members to ensure operational readiness from the first day
  • Managing student technology and campus devices, acting as the on-site Google Administrator and technology liaison

What you will NOT be doing

  • Teaching classes or providing academic instruction
  • Coaching Guides or influencing curriculum design
  • Working in a purely administrative or narrowly defined role
  • Operating in a slow-paced or highly predictable setting
  • Escalating unresolved issues to others rather than owning solutions

Key responsibilities

Maintain safe, efficient, and dependable campus operations that consistently enhance the experience of students, staff, and parents.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (field of study not specified)
  • At least 1 year of experience in office coordination, facilities support, site operations, or similar operational roles
  • Comfort with basic technology tasks including device setup, troubleshooting, and account administration
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills across parents, staff, and vendors
  • Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining attention to detail
  • Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
  • Must be available to work in person in Piedmont, CA; Palo Alto, CA; Lake Forest, CA or Chicago, IL.
