Alpha is transforming the student experience. Our learners do not passively absorb lectures—they progress through adaptive applications, achieve mastery at twice the conventional pace, and build practical life competencies in parallel. Your objective is to ensure these "3 Promises" are fulfilled for every learner in your assigned cohort and to equip our Guides to replicate this success.

You will combine advanced coaching expertise with dynamic facilitation skills, converting workshops, data-informed motivational sessions, and precise feedback into powerful developmental experiences. If you have broken performance benchmarks, transformed struggling performers into high achievers, or consistently raised the bar beyond "acceptable," we invite you to join us in building excellence.

Why join Alpha?

  • Competitive compensation for high-cost markets – elevated salary structure reflecting the cost of living in these metropolitan regions
  • Comprehensive benefits and time off – robust health coverage and ample paid time off
  • Relocation support – provided for exceptional candidates
  • Development-focused environment – access to coaching, professional training, and advancement opportunities for greater influence

What you will be doing

  • Developing and coaching Guides to deliver Alpha's workshops at world-class standards
  • Designing Guide Playbooks that document facilitation best practices, engaging learning activities, and strategies for overcoming obstacles
  • Delivering consistent, actionable coaching to Guides to maximize student participation and outcomes
  • Serving as direct mentor to a small student cohort, demonstrating expert-level coaching and motivational techniques

What you will NOT be doing

  • Developing lesson plans – your Guides support student learning via adaptive applications; your priority is training them to become outstanding motivators
  • Compromising on expectations – when our success benchmark is 100%, your role is to uphold that standard
  • Running uninspiring professional development – you'll train Guides through dynamic, high-impact, experiential learning sessions

Key responsibilities

Develop Guides and students to ensure every learner in your cohort experiences genuine enthusiasm for school, progresses at 2× traditional speed, and builds essential life skills. No exceptions.

Candidate requirements

  • Currently located in or prepared to relocate for on-site work at one of the Alpha Campuses (Bethesda, MD; Boston, MA; Chicago, IL; Fort Lauderdale, FL; Seattle, WA; or CA: East Bay (San Francisco), Palo Alto, Santa Monica, or Los Angeles)
  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in education, learning and development, coaching, or related areas.
  • Proven track record of creating and executing innovative educational programs, curricula, or training solutions.
  • Demonstrated leadership and mentoring capabilities with a history of building, managing, and inspiring high-performing teams.
  • Direct experience working with youth (ages 5-18) in educational or developmental settings.
  • Competence in data analysis and leveraging performance metrics to inform decisions and foster continuous improvement.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States
