Operations Coordinator   $90,000 USD/year

Description

LOCATION NOTE: This is an in-person role located at one of our campuses.

You are the individual who ensures everything functions seamlessly. A campus operates smoothly when students feel secure, staff remain productive, and parents have confidence in the institution. This outcome is not incidental. It results from someone coordinating hundreds of moving parts daily—with precision, responsiveness, and attention.

Alpha is constructing one of the most rigorous school models globally. We integrate demanding academics, technology-driven instruction, and elevated standards for both students and staff. This position ensures the non-instructional functions of the campus meet the same excellence we expect in our classrooms.

In this capacity, you control the operational pulse of the campus. You manage community engagement, campus security, facilities coordination, and everyday technology support. At any given moment, you might organize a safety exercise, troubleshoot a hardware problem, onboard incoming personnel, or respond to a parent inquiry. Your role extends beyond maintenance—you build trust.

This is a practical, on-campus position suited to individuals who excel in fast-paced settings, maintain composure during challenges, and are committed to upholding high service standards. If you seek work where your choices immediately influence student safety, staff productivity, and parent confidence, this role provides genuine autonomy and measurable impact.

What you will be doing

  • Acting as a central contact for parents, students, and staff, maintaining clear, prompt, and professional interactions
  • Overseeing campus safety protocols, including entry management, health response, emergency drills, record-keeping, and parent updates
  • Coordinating daily campus functions including attendance tracking, facility management, transport logistics, and administrative workflows
  • Facilitating onboarding and orientation for new team members to enable seamless operational integration
  • Administering student technology and campus systems, serving as the on-site tech contact and Google Administrator

What you will NOT be doing

  • Delivering instruction or overseeing academic programming
  • Mentoring Guides or participating in curriculum design
  • Operating within a limited, single-task administrative capacity
  • Remaining stationary with routine, unchanging responsibilities
  • Escalating issues without taking ownership or driving solutions

Key responsibilities

Maintain smooth, secure, and effective campus operations that continuously enhance the experience and satisfaction of students, staff, and parents.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in any field
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in office coordination, facilities support, site operations, or a comparable operational role
  • Proficiency with basic technology troubleshooting, device management, and account administration
  • Effective communication skills with the capacity to interact professionally with parents, staff, students, and vendors
  • Capability to juggle multiple priorities while sustaining attention to detail
  • Available to work in-person at one of our campuses: Piedmont, CA; Boston, MA; Miami Beach, FL; Greenwich, CT; South Bay (LA), CA; Bethesda, MD; La Jolla (San Diego), CA; Boca Raton, FL; Santa Barbara, CA — or willing to relocate
  • Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
