Operations Coordinator   $75,000 USD/year

Description

LOCATION NOTE: This is an on-site position based at our Chantilly, VA campus.

You are the individual who ensures everything functions seamlessly. A campus that operates without friction allows students to feel secure, staff to maintain focus, and parents to place their confidence in the institution. This level of execution is never accidental. It results from someone coordinating countless details daily with precision, speed, and intentionality.

Alpha is constructing one of the world's most forward-thinking school models. We integrate demanding academics, technology-driven instruction, and elevated expectations for both students and staff. This position ensures that the non-instructional operations of the campus meet the same caliber as our academic programs.

In this capacity, you control the operational pulse of the campus. Your responsibilities span community communication, campus security, facilities management, logistics oversight, and daily technology administration. At any given moment, you might be organizing a safety exercise, troubleshooting a technology issue, bringing a new team member up to speed, or responding to a parent inquiry. Your work goes beyond maintenance—you build trust and reliability.

This is an active, campus-based position designed for someone who excels in fast-paced settings, maintains composure during challenges, and is committed to upholding rigorous service standards. If you seek a role where your choices have direct consequences for student safety, staff productivity, and parent confidence, this opportunity provides meaningful autonomy and influence.

What you will be doing

  • Acting as a central contact for parents, students, and staff, delivering clear, prompt, and professional correspondence
  • Overseeing campus safety functions, including entry protocols, health-related events, emergency exercises, record-keeping, and family notifications
  • Coordinating daily campus functions such as attendance tracking, facility maintenance, transportation arrangements, and general office workflows
  • Assisting with onboarding and orientation for incoming staff to facilitate seamless operational integration
  • Administering student technology and campus systems, serving as the on-site technical contact and Google Administrator

What you will NOT be doing

  • Delivering classroom instruction or overseeing academic programming
  • Mentoring Guides or contributing to curriculum design
  • Operating within a limited, one-dimensional administrative capacity
  • Managing a static workload composed of predictable, routine assignments
  • Escalating issues without taking ownership or driving resolution

Key responsibilities

Maintain smooth, secure, and effective campus operations that continuously enhance the experience and satisfaction of students, staff, and parents.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in any discipline
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in office coordination, facility operations, site management, or a comparable operational position
  • Proficiency with basic technology troubleshooting, device oversight, and account management
  • Excellent communication abilities with the capacity to interact professionally with parents, staff, students, and external partners
  • Capability to juggle multiple responsibilities while preserving accuracy and thoroughness
  • Availability to work on-site in Chantilly, VA
  • Authorization to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship
