Operations Coordinator   $75,000 USD/year

Description

LOCATION NOTE: This is an on-site position based at our Chantilly, VA campus.

At Alpha, you won't simply discuss transforming lives through education—you'll actively drive that transformation. This position represents the critical intersection of enrollment growth and operational stewardship: you'll persuade families to choose our school, then ensure their children experience a secure, efficiently managed learning environment.

This role stands apart from typical school positions by combining admissions accountability with direct campus operations oversight. You'll serve as the trusted voice during families' decision-making journey, and as the reliable presence maintaining daily safety standards and facility operations so educators can concentrate on delivering outstanding academic results.

Alpha is a rapidly expanding school where ambition is supported by rigorous systems. Families choose us because of our three core commitments—and remain because every element of their experience, from initial campus visits to morning arrivals, builds confidence. If the prospect of fueling both expansion and operational excellence in a high-stakes, purpose-driven setting energizes you, you'll find your place here.

What you will be doing

  • Conducting tailored campus tours that secure family enrollment by highlighting Alpha's distinctive commitments.
  • Supporting prospective families throughout the admissions journey with attentive, strategic, and consistent outreach.
  • Maintaining daily adherence to all safeguarding standards and proactively identifying potential vulnerabilities.
  • Overseeing facilities through preventative maintenance, coordinating service providers, and ensuring timely, budget-conscious repairs.
  • Monitoring metrics across admissions and operations to optimize strategies and produce quantifiable outcomes.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Instructing students or designing curriculum—your priority is operational excellence, not pedagogical work.
  • Following inflexible procedures or waiting for directives—this position demands proactive ownership.
  • Conducting standardized, impersonal tours or sending templated correspondence.
  • Working in isolation—partnership with staff, families, and vendors is fundamental.

Key responsibilities

Increase student enrollment while upholding a secure, compliant, and efficiently operated campus that enables guides to concentrate exclusively on achieving educational outcomes.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in any field
  • Proven experience in admissions, enrollment, or client-facing work with families or students.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • High emotional intelligence and capacity to establish trust rapidly.
  • Proficiency with data tracking and analysis.
  • Self-motivated, autonomous worker with strong initiative.
  • Willingness to work on-site in Chantilly, VA.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
