Description

LOCATION NOTE: This is an in-person position based at our Chantilly, VA campus.

You are the individual who ensures everything functions seamlessly. A well-run campus means students feel secure, staff remain productive, and parents maintain confidence in the school. This outcome is not accidental. It results from someone consistently managing hundreds of details daily—with precision, responsiveness, and thoughtfulness.

Alpha is developing one of the most forward-thinking school models globally. We integrate demanding academics, technology-driven instruction, and elevated standards for both students and staff. This position ensures the non-instructional operations of the campus match the excellence of our academic programs.

In this capacity, you control the operational pulse of the campus. Your responsibilities include community engagement, campus security, facility oversight, logistics, and daily technology support. At any given time, you might coordinate an emergency drill, troubleshoot a technical issue, onboard new personnel, or respond to a parent inquiry. Your role extends beyond maintenance—you build institutional trust.

This is a practical, campus-based position suited to someone who excels in fast-paced settings, remains composed during challenges, and is committed to upholding rigorous service standards. If you seek work where your actions directly influence student safety, staff productivity, and parental confidence, this role provides genuine autonomy and meaningful impact.

What you will be doing

  • Acting as a central contact for parents, students, and staff, providing clear, prompt, and professional communication
  • Overseeing campus security functions, including entry control, health situations, emergency drills, record-keeping, and parent notifications
  • Coordinating daily campus functions such as attendance tracking, facility management, transportation logistics, and office administration
  • Assisting with onboarding and orientation for new employees to facilitate seamless operational integration
  • Administering student devices and campus technology systems, serving as the on-site technical contact and Google Administrator

What you will NOT be doing

  • Delivering classroom instruction or overseeing academic programming
  • Mentoring Guides or contributing to curriculum design
  • Operating within a limited, single-task administrative capacity
  • Spending your day at a desk performing routine, unchanging duties
  • Escalating issues without taking responsibility or driving solutions

Key responsibilities

Maintain safe, efficient, and well-coordinated campus operations that continuously enhance the experience and satisfaction of students, staff, and parents.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in any field
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in office coordination, facilities management, site operations, or a comparable operational role
  • Proficiency with basic technology troubleshooting, device oversight, and account management
  • Excellent communication abilities with the capacity to interact professionally with parents, staff, students, and external vendors
  • Capability to juggle multiple priorities while sustaining focus on detail
  • Availability to work on-site in Chantilly, VA
  • Authorization to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship
