Campus Operations Coordinator   $75,000 USD/year

Description

LOCATION NOTE: This is an in-person position based at our Chantilly, VA campus.

You are the individual who ensures everything functions. A campus operates seamlessly when students feel secure, staff remain productive, and parents place their confidence in the institution. This outcome is not accidental. It results from someone coordinating hundreds of moving pieces each day—with precision, responsiveness, and attention.

Alpha is constructing one of the most forward-thinking school systems globally. We integrate demanding academics, technology-supported instruction, and elevated standards for both students and adults. This position exists to guarantee that the non-instructional components of the campus perform at the same caliber as our teaching environments.

In this capacity, you control the operational pulse of the campus. You hold responsibility for community correspondence, campus security, facility management and coordination, and routine technology oversight. At any given moment, you might be organizing a safety exercise, troubleshooting a hardware problem, integrating a new team member, or responding to a family inquiry. Your role extends beyond maintenance—you are building trust.

This is a practical, on-campus position designed for someone who excels in fluid settings, maintains composure during challenges, and values delivering excellence. If you seek a position where your actions immediately influence student safety, staff productivity, and family confidence, this role provides genuine authority and measurable impact.

What you will be doing

  • Acting as a principal liaison for parents, students, and staff, delivering clear, prompt, and professional correspondence
  • Administering campus security functions, including entry protocols, medical situations, emergency exercises, record-keeping, and family notifications
  • Supervising everyday campus functions such as attendance systems, facility arrangements, transit coordination, and administrative logistics
  • Assisting with onboarding and orientation for incoming staff to facilitate seamless integration into operational workflows
  • Administering student technology and campus systems, functioning as the main on-campus tech contact and Google Administrator

What you will NOT be doing

  • Delivering classroom instruction or overseeing academic programming
  • Mentoring Guides or directing curriculum design
  • Operating in a limited, single-task clerical capacity
  • Remaining stationary at a workstation with routine, unchanging duties
  • Delegating issues without accountability or follow-through

Key responsibilities

Maintain smooth, secure, and productive campus operations that consistently enhance the experience and confidence of students, staff, and parents.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in any field
  • At least 1 year of experience in office coordination, facilities support, site operations, or a similar operational role
  • Comfort with basic technology troubleshooting, device management, and account administration
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage parents, staff, students, and vendors professionally
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail
  • Willingness to work on-site in Chantilly, VA
  • Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
