School Operations Coordinator   $90,000 USD/year

Description

LOCATION NOTE: This is an in-person role based at one of our campus locations.

You are the individual who ensures operational excellence. When a campus functions seamlessly, students experience safety, staff maintain concentration, and parents develop confidence in the institution. This level of performance is not coincidental. It results from someone methodically managing hundreds of operational details daily—with precision, responsiveness, and attentiveness.

Alpha is constructing one of the world's most ambitious educational models. We integrate demanding academics, technology-supported instruction, and elevated standards for both students and staff. This position exists to guarantee that the non-instructional dimensions of campus life meet the same performance standards as our academic programs.

In this capacity, you control the operational pulse of the campus. Your accountability spans community correspondence, campus security, facility and logistical management, and routine technology administration. At any given moment, you might be organizing a safety procedure, troubleshooting a technology problem, integrating a new team member, or responding to a parent inquiry. Your role extends beyond maintenance—you are building institutional trust.

This is a practical, on-campus position designed for someone who excels in fluid environments, maintains composure during challenges, and values delivering exceptional service standards. If you seek work where your choices immediately influence student safety, staff productivity, and parent confidence, this role provides genuine ownership and measurable impact.

What you will be doing

  • Acting as a central communication contact for parents, students, and staff, delivering clear, prompt, and professional correspondence
  • Directing campus security operations, including entry management, health event responses, emergency drills, record-keeping, and family notifications
  • Supervising daily campus functions including attendance tracking, facility coordination, transportation arrangements, and administrative logistics
  • Facilitating onboarding and orientation for new personnel to ensure seamless operational integration
  • Administering student devices and campus technology systems, functioning as the primary on-site technical contact and Google Administrator

What you will NOT be doing

  • Delivering classroom instruction or directing academic content
  • Mentoring Guides or contributing to curriculum design
  • Operating within a limited, specialized administrative capacity
  • Performing routine, desk-bound tasks with predictable patterns
  • Transferring issues to others without taking ownership or finding solutions

Key responsibilities

Deliver smooth, secure, and effective campus operations that continuously enhance the experience and satisfaction of students, staff, and parents.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in any discipline
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in office coordination, facilities management, site operations, or comparable operational capacity
  • Proficiency with fundamental technology troubleshooting, device administration, and account management
  • Excellent communication capabilities with the capacity to interact professionally with parents, staff, students, and external partners
  • Capability to balance multiple priorities while preserving accuracy and attention to detail
  • Available to work on-site at one of our campus locations: Miami Beach, FL; Greenwich, CT; CA; Bethesda, MD; Santa Barbara, CA; Boston, MA — or prepared to relocate
  • Authorized to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship
