School Operations Coordinator   $75,000 USD/year

Description

LOCATION NOTE: This is an in-person position based at our Chantilly, VA campus.

You are the individual who ensures everything functions seamlessly. A campus operates smoothly when students feel secure, staff remain concentrated on their work, and parents maintain confidence in the institution. This outcome requires deliberate effort. It occurs because someone is coordinating countless details daily—with precision, responsiveness, and attention.

Alpha is developing one of the most forward-thinking school frameworks globally. We integrate demanding academics, technology-supported instruction, and elevated standards for both students and staff. This position ensures that the non-instructional operations of the campus meet the same benchmarks as our academic programs.

In this capacity, you control the operational pulse of the campus. Your responsibilities include community outreach, campus security, facility management and logistics, and routine technology administration. At any given moment, you might coordinate an emergency drill, troubleshoot a hardware problem, guide a new employee through orientation, or respond to a family's inquiry. Your role extends beyond maintenance—you build institutional confidence.

This is a direct, campus-based position suited for someone who excels in fluid settings, remains composed during challenges, and values delivering exceptional service standards. If you seek work where your choices immediately influence student safety, staff productivity, and family confidence, this role provides genuine autonomy and measurable impact.

What you will be doing

  • Acting as a central communication hub for families, students, and personnel, delivering clear, prompt, and professional correspondence
  • Directing campus security functions, including entry systems, medical situations, emergency exercises, record-keeping, and family notifications
  • Supervising everyday campus functions including attendance protocols, facility management, transit services, and administrative logistics
  • Assisting with onboarding and orientation for incoming staff to facilitate seamless operational integration
  • Administering student technology and campus systems, functioning as the lead on-site technical contact and Google Administrator

What you will NOT be doing

  • Delivering classroom instruction or directing academic programs
  • Mentoring Guides or contributing to curriculum design
  • Operating within a limited, specialized clerical capacity
  • Remaining stationary with uniform, routine assignments
  • Delegating issues upward without taking ownership or achieving resolution

Key responsibilities

Deliver reliable, secure, and effective campus operations that continuously enhance the experience and satisfaction of students, personnel, and families.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in any field
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in office coordination, facilities support, site operations, or a similar operational role
  • Proficiency with fundamental technology troubleshooting, device management, and account administration
  • Effective communication abilities with the capacity to interact professionally with parents, staff, students, and vendors
  • Capability to balance multiple priorities while preserving attention to detail
  • Commitment to working on-site in Chantilly, VA
  • Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
