School Operations Coordinator   $90,000 USD/year

Description

LOCATION NOTE: This is an in-person role located at one of our campuses.

You are the individual who ensures everything functions properly. A well-run campus means students experience security, staff remain productive, and parents place their confidence in the institution. This outcome is not coincidental. It results from someone carefully coordinating countless details daily—with precision, responsiveness, and genuine attention.

Alpha is constructing one of the world's most ambitious educational models. We integrate demanding academics, technology-driven instruction, and elevated standards for both students and staff. This position exists to guarantee that the campus's non-instructional operations meet the same benchmark as our academic programs.

In this position, you control the operational pulse of the campus. Your responsibilities include community engagement, campus security, facility and logistical management, and everyday technology support. At any given moment, you might be organizing a safety exercise, troubleshooting a technology problem, onboarding new personnel, or responding to parent inquiries. Your role extends beyond maintenance—you build institutional trust.

This is a practical, on-campus position designed for someone who excels in fast-paced settings, maintains composure during challenges, and is committed to upholding excellence in service. If you seek a position where your choices directly influence student safety, staff productivity, and parent confidence, this role provides genuine authority and measurable impact.

What you will be doing

  • Acting as a central contact for parents, students, and staff, providing clear, prompt, and professional correspondence
  • Administering campus security functions, including entry management, health response, emergency exercises, record-keeping, and family notifications
  • Supervising everyday campus functions such as attendance tracking, facility maintenance coordination, transportation logistics, and administrative office support
  • Assisting with orientation and preparation of new personnel to facilitate seamless operational integration
  • Administering student technology and campus devices, functioning as the on-site technology contact and Google Administrator

What you will NOT be doing

  • Delivering classroom instruction or overseeing academic programming
  • Mentoring Guides or directing curriculum design
  • Operating within a limited, specialized administrative capacity
  • Remaining stationary with routine, unchanging responsibilities
  • Delegating issues without accountability or follow-through

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail
  • Available to work in-person in one of our campuses: Piedmont, CA; Boston, MA; Miami Beach, FL; Greenwich, CT; South Bay (LA), CA; Bethesda, MD; La Jolla (San Diego), CA; Boca Raton, FL; Santa Barbara, CA — or willing to relocate
