Description

What you will be doing

  • Guiding students during their 2-Hour Learning block, facilitating goal-setting, task focus, and effective use of technology.
  • Reinforcing reading skills, supporting routines introduced by Reading Specialists.
  • Fostering emotional regulation, resilience, and collaboration with a structured yet warm approach.
  • Monitoring student progress, identifying issues early, and adapting strategies with your team.
  • Creating a classroom atmosphere that balances structure with playfulness, akin to a high-expectation summer camp.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Conducting traditional, whole-class lessons from a whiteboard.
  • Designing curriculum or being solely responsible for literacy instruction.
  • Spending hours grading papers or crafting detailed lesson plans.
  • Working in an environment devoid of technology or enjoyment.
  • Addressing behavior without considering the underlying human needs.

Key responsibilities

Empower young learners to cultivate habits, confidence, and emotional resilience within Alpha's dynamic, tech-driven educational model.

Candidate requirements

  • Full-time, in-person availability at our Miami, FL campus.
  • College degree in any field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with children aged 4–8 in educational or coaching settings.
  • Proven ability to manage and motivate young children with joy and structure.
  • Embrace a growth mindset and be open to coaching.
  • Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.

Nice to have

  • Certification in early childhood education models (e.g., CDA, Montessori, Reggio Emilia).
  • Experience in supporting reading instruction or collaborating with literacy specialists.
  • Knowledge of adaptive learning technology or personalized education tools.
