What you will be doing
- Orchestrating engaging, virtual workshops centered on developing essential life competencies including creativity, effective communication, and critical problem-solving
- Providing personalized mentorship to individual students and small cohorts to foster self-confidence, autonomous learning, and executive functioning skills
- Leveraging platform analytics to customize support strategies and monitor developmental progress
- Partnering with fellow mentors to craft and enhance immersive, project-based learning experiences
- Cultivating a vibrant, supportive virtual environment where students feel valued, respected, and motivated to develop
What you will NOT be doing
- Delivering traditional academic content—our AI tutoring system handles core subject instruction
- Following rigid lesson scripts or maintaining conventional classroom management
- Spending hours on assignment evaluation or standardized curriculum preparation
Key responsibilities
Candidate requirements
- Current teaching certification from any US state
- Demonstrated history of student teaching, mentoring, or coaching (preferably with Grades 4-8)
- Exceptional virtual communication skills with confidence leading video-based sessions
- Commitment to full-time schedule (Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm Arizona time)
- Ability to onboard within 2-3 weeks
- Enthusiasm for working within a technology-enhanced, student-first educational model
