Learning Experience Facilitator   $60,000 USD/year

Description

IMPORTANT NOTE: This is a hybrid role requiring physical presence in Arizona.

Licensed teachers ready to move beyond classroom management and into life-changing work—this is for you.

Imagine a teaching role that no longer centers on lesson plans, lectures, or grading—but instead focuses purely on mentoring young people to become confident, capable individuals.

Unbound Academy has redefined what teaching looks like. This hybrid position supports a fully virtual, tuition-free Arizona charter school that trades worksheets for hands-on learning and prioritizes personal growth. Students handle core academics independently using AI-powered tools during two focused hours each day. The remainder of their time is dedicated to building real-world skills through guided workshops, coaching, and exploration.

You won't be delivering scripted lessons or managing a virtual classroom. Instead, you'll facilitate high-energy online sessions that push students to think critically, create, collaborate, and grow. You'll mentor them through storytelling, entrepreneurship, wellness, and problem-solving while fostering independence, confidence, and executive function.

This role isn't for educators looking to recreate traditional school on Zoom. It's for licensed teachers prepared to relocate to Arizona, work in a hybrid model, and support students in ways that genuinely prepare them for life. If you're finished with classroom busywork and ready to do the most impactful work of your career, read on.

What you will be doing

  • Facilitating interactive virtual workshops centered on life skills including communication, creativity, problem-solving, and self-direction
  • Coaching students individually and in small groups to cultivate confidence, ownership, and executive functioning skills
  • Leveraging platform data and student indicators to personalize support and monitor progress consistently
  • Working closely with fellow educators to design and refine project-based learning experiences
  • Building a safe, high-energy environment where students feel recognized, challenged, and inspired to grow

What you will NOT be doing

  • Teaching core academic subjects; adaptive AI tutors manage those
  • Presenting scripted lectures or operating a traditional classroom structure
  • Grading worksheets, assigning homework, or creating standardized lesson plans

Key responsibilities

Foster student growth and life readiness by facilitating transformative, real-world learning experiences within a hybrid, fully virtual school environment.

  • Educated (K–16) within the U.S., Canada, or U.K. school systems
