Youth Development Coach   $60,000 USD/year

Description

IMPORTANT NOTE: This position requires in-person presence in Arizona and is structured as a hybrid role.

Licensed teachers who are prepared to move beyond classroom management and into life-changing mentorship are encouraged to apply.

Imagine a role where your daily work isn't consumed by lesson planning, lectures, or grading—but is instead dedicated to coaching young people to become self-assured, competent individuals.

Unbound Academy redefines what teaching means. This hybrid position supports a tuition-free Arizona virtual charter school where traditional worksheets are replaced by experiential learning and personal development is prioritized. Students handle core academic subjects independently in two concentrated hours each day using AI-driven platforms. Their remaining time is dedicated to cultivating practical skills through facilitated workshops, mentorship, and active exploration.

Your role won't involve delivering predetermined lessons or monitoring a virtual classroom. Instead, you'll facilitate dynamic online sessions that push students to think critically, innovate, work together, and evolve. You'll guide them through storytelling, entrepreneurship, wellness activities, and complex problem-solving while fostering independence, self-confidence, and executive functioning abilities.

This opportunity is not designed for educators seeking to recreate conventional schooling in a virtual format. It's intended for licensed teachers prepared to relocate to Arizona, engage in a hybrid work model, and equip students with capabilities that genuinely prepare them for the real world. If you've grown weary of administrative tasks and are ready to pursue the most impactful work of your teaching career, continue reading.

  • Instructing core academic content; adaptive AI tutoring platforms manage those subjects
