Student Success Coach   $60,000 USD/year

Description

IMPORTANT NOTE: This position is hybrid and requires you to be physically located in Arizona.

We're looking for licensed educators ready to shift from traditional classroom management to transformative mentorship.

Imagine a role where your focus isn't on grading, lectures, or lesson planning—but on guiding young people to become self-assured, capable individuals.

Unbound Academy reimagines education from the ground up. This hybrid position supports a fully virtual, tuition-free Arizona charter school that replaces traditional worksheets with experiential learning and places personal development front and center. Students complete their core academic work independently in two concentrated hours each day using AI-powered platforms. The remainder of their time is dedicated to developing practical skills through mentorship, workshops, and exploration.

Your role won't involve delivering scripted curriculum or managing a virtual classroom in the conventional sense. Instead, you'll facilitate dynamic online sessions that encourage students to think critically, collaborate, create, and evolve. Your mentorship will span storytelling, entrepreneurship, wellness, and creative problem-solving—all while fostering independence, self-confidence, and executive functioning skills.

This opportunity is not designed for educators seeking to replicate conventional schooling in a digital format. It's built for licensed teachers willing to relocate to Arizona, embrace a hybrid work model, and engage students in ways that genuinely prepare them for real life. If you're finished with administrative busywork and eager to pursue the most impactful work of your teaching career, continue reading.

What you will be doing

  • Facilitating engaging virtual workshops centered on essential life skills including communication, creativity, problem-solving, and self-direction
  • Providing one-on-one and small-group mentorship to cultivate confidence, personal accountability, and executive functioning in students
  • Leveraging platform analytics and student behavioral indicators to tailor support and monitor progress longitudinally
  • Working alongside peer educators to design and refine project-based learning experiences on an ongoing basis
  • Building a secure, energetic environment where students feel acknowledged, challenged, and inspired to develop

What you will NOT be doing

  • Instructing core academic content; adaptive AI tutors manage those subjects
  • Presenting scripted lectures or operating within a traditional classroom framework
  • Evaluating worksheets, assigning homework, or developing standardized lesson plans

Key responsibilities

Foster student development and life preparedness by facilitating transformative, real-world learning experiences in a hybrid, fully virtual school environment.
