Student Success Coach   $60,000 USD/year

Description

  • Hybrid AZ · W2 · $60K/yr

This role is for licensed educators prepared to shift from traditional classroom management to transformative student mentorship.

Imagine a teaching role where lesson planning, lectures, and grading are replaced with focused mentorship that empowers students to become self-assured, competent individuals.

Unbound Academy operates under a fundamentally different educational model. This hybrid position supports a tuition-free, fully virtual Arizona charter school that prioritizes experiential learning over worksheets and centers personal development. Students complete their core academic work independently in two concentrated hours daily using AI-powered platforms. Their remaining time is dedicated to developing practical skills through facilitated workshops, personalized coaching, and exploratory activities.

Your role will not involve delivering prescribed lessons or monitoring a virtual classroom environment. Instead, you'll facilitate dynamic online sessions that encourage students to think critically, innovate, collaborate, and mature. You'll guide them through storytelling, entrepreneurship, wellness, and critical thinking while fostering independence, self-assurance, and executive function capabilities.

This position is not designed for educators seeking to reproduce conventional schooling in a remote format. It requires licensed teachers willing to relocate to Arizona, operate within a hybrid framework, and prepare students in ways that genuinely equip them for adult life. If you're finished with classroom administrative tasks and ready to engage in the most impactful work of your teaching career, continue reading.

  • Working collaboratively with teaching colleagues to design and iteratively enhance project-based learning initiatives
  • Establishing a supportive, energized environment where students feel acknowledged, challenged, and inspired to develop

What you will NOT be doing

  • Instructing core academic content; this is delivered through adaptive AI tutoring systems
  • Presenting scripted lectures or operating within a conventional classroom structure
  • Evaluating worksheets, assigning homework, or developing standardized lesson plans

Key responsibilities

Facilitate student development and life preparedness by delivering transformative, real-world educational experiences within a hybrid, fully virtual school environment.
