Virtual Learning Facilitator   $60,000 USD/year

Description

  • Hybrid AZ · W2 · $60K/yr

Licensed teachers seeking to move beyond classroom management and create lasting impact on students' lives should consider this opportunity.

Imagine a teaching role where lesson planning, lectures, and grading take a back seat—and mentoring young people to become self-assured, competent individuals becomes your primary focus.

Unbound Academy operates with an intentionally different approach to education. This hybrid position supports a tuition-free, fully virtual Arizona charter school that replaces traditional worksheets with experiential learning and prioritizes personal development. Students handle their core academics independently through AI-powered platforms in just two focused hours each day. Their remaining time is dedicated to cultivating practical skills via guided workshops, coaching sessions, and exploratory activities.

Your role will not involve delivering scripted lessons or monitoring a virtual classroom. Instead, you'll facilitate dynamic online sessions that push students to think critically, create meaningfully, collaborate effectively, and develop as individuals. You'll guide them through storytelling, entrepreneurship, wellness practices, and problem-solving while nurturing independence, confidence, and executive function skills.

This position is not intended for educators seeking to replicate conventional schooling in a Zoom format. It's designed for licensed teachers prepared to relocate to Arizona, engage in a hybrid work model, and support students in ways that genuinely prepare them for adult life. If you've grown weary of traditional classroom tasks and are ready to pursue the most impactful work of your teaching career, continue reading.

  • Providing one-on-one and small group mentorship to help students develop confidence, ownership, and executive functioning capabilities
  • Leveraging platform analytics and student feedback to customize support and monitor development over time
  • Working alongside peer educators to design and refine project-based learning experiences on an ongoing basis
  • Establishing a supportive, energizing environment where students feel recognized, challenged, and inspired to develop

What you will NOT be doing

  • Instructing core academic subjects; adaptive AI tutors manage those areas
  • Presenting scripted lectures or operating within a traditional classroom structure
  • Evaluating worksheets, distributing homework, or creating standardized lesson plans
