Virtual Learning Facilitator   $60,000 USD/year

Description

Arizona-certified teachers, this is your opportunity.

Imagine a teaching role where lesson planning, lectures, and grading take a backseat—and mentoring students to become self-assured, resilient individuals takes center stage.

Unbound Academy is creating a fully virtual, tuition-free charter school that trades worksheets for experiential learning and prioritizes personal development above all. Students complete their academic coursework in just two concentrated hours daily using AI-driven platforms. The remainder of their day? Devoted to something of equal importance: immersive workshops designed to cultivate life skills, intellectual curiosity, and self-confidence.

Your role won't involve delivering prescribed curricula or overseeing a traditional virtual classroom. Instead, you'll facilitate dynamic online sessions that invite students to explore transformative ideas through storytelling, entrepreneurship, wellness, and other disciplines. You'll mentor them toward self-sufficiency, support their personal development, and equip them with competencies that translate directly to the real world.

This position is not suited for educators wedded to conventional schooling models. It's designed for Arizona-certified teachers prepared to work remotely, embrace innovative pedagogy, and nurture students in ways that genuinely equip them for life beyond school. If you're ready to move past classroom busywork and help create something more meaningful, this role awaits you.

What you will be doing

  • Facilitating interactive, virtual workshops centered on life skills including creativity, communication, and problem-solving
  • Providing one-on-one and small-group mentorship to cultivate confidence, self-direction, and executive functioning
  • Leveraging platform analytics to customize support and monitor student progress longitudinally
  • Working collaboratively with peer educators to refine and develop project-based learning experiences
  • Establishing a secure, energizing environment where students feel valued, understood, and motivated to develop

What you will NOT be doing

  • Instructing core academic subjects—AI tutors manage that component
  • Presenting scripted lectures or upholding traditional classroom structures
  • Evaluating assignments or preparing standardized lesson plans

Key responsibilities

Drive student development and life preparedness by facilitating transformative, real-world learning opportunities within a flexible, fully virtual school environment.

Candidate requirements

  • Valid US teaching certificate from any state
  • Background in teaching, mentoring, or coaching students (Grades 4–8 preferred)
  • Confident virtual presence; at ease leading sessions via video
  • Able to work full-time (M–F, 8am–5pm Arizona time)
  • Prepared to start within 2-3 weeks
  • Enthusiastic about working in a tech-forward, student-centered educational setting
