What you will be doing
- Conducting innovative reading workshops that build core skills in phonics, comprehension, and fluency
- Crafting tailored motivational sessions that resonate with children and foster a lifelong passion for reading
- Interpreting student progress data to refine methods and uncover actionable insights
- Working alongside the tech team to assess and improve AI literacy tools
What you will NOT be doing
- Following a rigid, one-size-fits-all curriculum
- Working in isolation from technology and innovation
- Engaging in administrative tasks unrelated to student literacy advancement
Key responsibilities
Candidate requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with advanced certification in reading instruction (e.g., Orton-Gillingham, Wilson, or equivalent)
- At least 2 years of experience delivering small-group reading interventions to early elementary students
- Skilled at assessing reading levels, grouping students, and designing differentiated instruction without pre-written curricula
- Proficient with AI/adaptive learning tools and responsive to student behaviors within them
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
- Willingness to work on-site at one of our campuses: Lake Forest (Orange County), CA; San Francisco, CA; Miami, FL; or New York City, NY
