Student Success Coach   $100,000 USD/year

Description

  • On-campus role in Dripping Springs (Austin area), TX
  • $100,000 annual salary paid weekly, plus immediate health, dental, and vision coverage
  • Relocation assistance provided if you're moving to join us

Waypoint Academy is redefining K-12 education by replacing traditional classroom lectures with adventure-driven life-skills training and AI-powered personalized academics. Students don't spend their days passively listening—they develop public speaking confidence on outdoor trails, cultivate leadership through collaborative challenges, and accelerate learning at 2× speed using adaptive technology.

This role is about coaching, not conventional teaching. You'll guide K-12 students to unlock their capabilities through experiential outdoor workshops and targeted motivational sessions. Your focus will be facilitating nature-based activities that build tangible skills—focus, communication, teamwork—rather than delivering standard curriculum. High achievers who envision a fundamentally different model of schooling excel in this environment. You'll witness students evolve from hesitant participants into self-assured high performers, with progress that's both measurable and immediate.

Dripping Springs brings Hill Country charm just 30 minutes from Austin's thriving tech ecosystem, renowned live music venues, and culinary scene. Enjoy over 300 sunny days annually, Barton Springs access, and year-round outdoor recreation.

Guide their growth. Facilitate the adventure. Submit your application today.

What you will be doing

  • Transforming curriculum into engaging experiences through storytelling, tailored approaches, and dynamic energy that captivates K-12 learners
  • Executing safety procedures and field judgment (route selection, weather monitoring, equipment checks, Leave No Trace principles) according to Waypoint's operational standards
  • Evaluating skill acquisition by ensuring students can demonstrate life skills in authentic, real-world situations
  • Maintaining high performance expectations while serving as an approachable, motivating mentor students respect and admire
