Description

Ready to revolutionize education in the heart of Texas? At Waypoint Academy in Dripping Springs (Austin, TX), we're turning traditional education on its head. We're not just teaching—we're inspiring, challenging, and transforming how students experience learning.

Picture this: A school where adventure meets academics, where the outdoors becomes your classroom, and where every day brings the opportunity to witness real student transformation. That's not a dream—it's what we do at one of America's most innovative K-12 schools.

If you believe that education should be an exhilarating journey rather than a desk-bound routine, we need your energy and passion as our next Student Success Coach.

What you will be doing

Your days will be filled with purpose-driven adventures:

  • Transform the great outdoors into your leadership laboratory, where students master essential life skills through expertly crafted workshops
  • Spark motivation and drive through high-impact coaching sessions, helping students crush their academic goals using cutting-edge adaptive technology
  • Breathe life into our curriculum by weaving your unique storytelling and creativity into every session
  • Champion safety and sound judgment in outdoor activities while creating unforgettable learning experiences
  • Guide students through practical "Test2Pass" challenges that showcase their real-world mastery

What you will NOT be doing

Let's be clear about what this role isn't:

  • No fluorescent-lit classroom confinement - your office is the great outdoors
  • No cookie-cutter lesson plans - you'll have the creative freedom to make each session uniquely impactful
  • No drowning in administrative paperwork - your energy goes where it matters most: student development

Key responsibilities

Your mission is to be the catalyst that ignites both academic excellence and personal growth in K-12 students. Through a powerful combination of outdoor experiential learning and targeted coaching, you'll help students discover their potential and exceed their own expectations.

Candidate requirements

The ideal champion for this role will bring:

  • A bachelor's degree that showcases your academic dedication (field of study open)
  • A rich 3+ year history of making a difference in young lives through education, camps, coaching, or outdoor programs
  • A proven record of excellence that sets you apart - whether in academics, athletics, or your professional journey
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship available)
  • Enthusiasm for joining our vibrant community in Dripping Springs, near Austin, TX

Nice to have

  • First aid certification or wilderness safety credentials (while not required, these skills align perfectly with our outdoor-focused program)
