Outdoor Education Teacher   $100,000 USD/year

Description

  • On-campus position in Dripping Springs (Austin region), TX
  • $100,000 annual compensation, disbursed weekly. Health, dental, and vision coverage begin day one
  • Relocating for the role? Support is provided

Waypoint Academy is redefining education by substituting traditional classroom lectures with adventure-driven life skills and AI-powered personalized academics. Students don't remain seated while you present material—they develop public speaking confidence outdoors, cultivate leadership through collaborative challenges, and progress at twice the typical pace using tailored software.

This role is not conventional teaching. It is coaching K-12 learners to unlock their capabilities through outdoor workshops and goal-driven motivational sessions. You will facilitate nature-based experiences that develop tangible skills (focus, communication, teamwork), rather than deliver scripted curriculum. Exceptional performers who believe education should be fundamentally reimagined excel in this environment. You will witness students evolve from hesitant participants to self-assured performers, with measurable and immediate results.

Dripping Springs provides Hill Country scenery just 30 minutes from Austin's technology hub, live music venues, and culinary offerings. Over 300 sunny days annually, Barton Springs access, and year-round outdoor opportunities.

Coach student growth. Lead the adventure. Apply today.

  • Implementing safety protocols and outdoor judgment (route planning, weather assessment, gear inspection, Leave No Trace principles) in accordance with Waypoint's field standards
