Admissions and Operations Specialist   $75,000 USD/year

Description

LOCATION NOTE: This is an on-site position based at our Chantilly, VA campus.

At Alpha, you won't simply discuss transforming lives through education—you'll execute it. This position represents the front line of both expansion and stewardship: the individual who persuades families to enroll at our school and ensures that once enrolled, their children experience learning in a secure, efficiently managed environment.

Unlike typical school roles, this position merges admissions accountability with direct campus operations. You'll serve as the trusted voice families hear throughout their enrollment decision, and the reliable presence that maintains daily safety and facility standards so educators can concentrate on producing outstanding learning results.

Alpha is a rapidly growing school where aspiration meets discipline. Families enroll because they embrace our three commitments—and they remain because every element of the experience, from the initial campus visit to the morning arrival routine, builds confidence. If you're energized by the prospect of advancing both expansion and operational quality in a high-stakes, mission-focused setting, this is your opportunity to excel.

What you will be doing

  • Leading customized campus visits that convert families by highlighting Alpha's distinctive commitments.
  • Cultivating prospective families throughout the enrollment pipeline with attentive, thoughtful, and consistent outreach.
  • Maintaining daily adherence to all safety protocols and proactively identifying potential vulnerabilities.
  • Overseeing facilities with a preventive mindset, scheduling vendors, and guaranteeing timely, cost-efficient maintenance.
  • Monitoring metrics across enrollment and operations to optimize strategies and produce quantifiable outcomes.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Instructing students or creating curriculum—your emphasis is on operational quality, not pedagogy.
  • Following inflexible procedures or deferring to others for initiative—this role demands proactive accountability.
  • Conducting formulaic, rehearsed tours or impersonal templated correspondence.
  • Working in isolation—partnership with staff, families, and vendors is fundamental.

Key responsibilities

Drive increased student admissions while sustaining a secure, compliant, and efficiently operated campus that enables guides to dedicate their full attention to achieving educational outcomes.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in any field
  • Demonstrated experience in admissions, enrollment, or a customer-facing role with families or students.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong emotional intelligence and ability to build trust quickly.
  • Comfort with data tracking and analysis.
  • Independent, self-directed worker with strong initiative.
  • Willingness to work on-site in Chantilly, VA.
  • Legal right to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
