Admissions and Operations Specialist   $75,000 USD/year

Description

LOCATION NOTE: This is an in-person position based at our Chantilly, VA campus.

At Alpha, you will do more than discuss how education transforms lives—you will actively create that transformation. This position serves as both the catalyst for enrollment growth and the protector of operational integrity: you will persuade families to choose our school and ensure their children thrive in a secure, efficiently managed environment once enrolled.

This role differs from typical school positions by combining admissions leadership with direct oversight of campus operations. You will serve as the trusted advisor families rely on when making their enrollment decision, while also acting as the operational backbone that maintains daily safety and facility standards so educators can concentrate on outstanding academic delivery.

Alpha is a rapidly expanding school where structured ambition drives results. Families choose us because they value our three core commitments—and they remain with us because every touchpoint, from initial campus visits to morning arrival procedures, builds confidence. If the prospect of fueling both institutional growth and operational excellence in a mission-critical, high-impact setting excites you, you will find your place here.

What you will be doing

  • Leading customized campus tours that convert prospective families by highlighting Alpha's distinctive commitments.
  • Cultivating relationships with prospective families throughout the enrollment journey using attentive, strategic, and consistent outreach.
  • Maintaining daily adherence to all child protection protocols and identifying potential safety concerns before they escalate.
  • Overseeing facility maintenance through proactive planning, vendor coordination, and ensuring timely, budget-conscious repairs.
  • Monitoring admissions and operational metrics to optimize strategies and produce quantifiable outcomes.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Instructing students or designing curriculum—your role centers on operational leadership, not pedagogy.
  • Following inflexible procedures or waiting for direction—this position demands proactive accountability.
  • Conducting standardized, impersonal tours or sending templated correspondence.
  • Working in isolation—cross-functional collaboration with staff, families, and external partners is essential.

Key responsibilities

Drive growth in student enrollment while upholding a secure, compliant, and efficiently managed campus that enables guides to concentrate exclusively on educational delivery.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in any field
  • Proven background in admissions, enrollment, or client-facing work involving families or students.
  • Superior written and verbal communication abilities.
  • High emotional intelligence and capacity to establish rapport rapidly.
  • Proficiency with data monitoring and interpretation.
  • Self-motivated, autonomous professional with robust initiative.
  • Commitment to on-site work in Chantilly, VA.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship.
