You will create and lead workshops that accelerate phonics mastery, fluency development, and comprehension for students in early elementary grades.
This role is about outcomes, not paperwork. You'll analyze data, collaborate with technology teams, and construct a reading program that scales to thousands of learners.

What you will be doing
- Leading adaptive reading workshops focused on phonics, fluency, and comprehension development
- Creating personalized motivational sessions anchored in gamified literacy progress markers
- Reviewing student performance data to adjust instruction and generate actionable recommendations
- Partnering with engineering teams to assess and improve AI-driven literacy platforms based on real classroom feedback
- Building scalable, AI-supported instructional content that brings early elementary learners to grade-level reading proficiency
What you will NOT be doing
- Standing at the front delivering traditional lectures — learning happens through AI-guided applications, not passive listening
- Adhering to a boxed curriculum or scripted lesson sequences — you create workshops independently from the ground up
- Covering general academics — your domain is reading workshops and motivational coaching, not mathematics or science instruction
- Managing behavior without purpose — each session is designed around defined learning goals and measurable progress
- Operating alone — you work side-by-side with engineers who develop the AI platforms your students interact with every day
Key responsibilities
Candidate requirements
- Bachelor's degree plus either a Master's in reading instruction OR structured literacy certification (Orton-Gillingham, Wilson, IMSE, CERI, LETRS, Neuhaus, UFLI, or equivalent)
- Fluency in both English and Spanish (necessary for working with students and families)
- 2+ years of experience facilitating small-group reading interventions with early elementary learners
- Capable of evaluating reading proficiency, organizing student groups, and creating differentiated instruction without relying on pre-made curricula
- Comfortable using AI and adaptive learning technologies, with sensitivity to student engagement and behavior data
- Authorized to work in Puerto Rico without requiring sponsorship
- Able to work on-site in Dorado, Puerto Rico
