Your role: create and execute workshops that generate quantifiable advances in phonics, fluency, and comprehension for students in early elementary grades.

What you will be doing
- Facilitating adaptive reading workshops that strengthen phonics, comprehension, and fluency capabilities
- Creating individualized motivational experiences through gamified literacy benchmarks
- Reviewing student performance metrics to adjust instruction and extract actionable findings
- Partnering with engineering teams to assess and improve AI literacy platforms based on classroom outcomes
- Building scalable, AI-supported materials that help early elementary learners reach grade-level reading standards
What you will NOT be doing
- Standing at the front delivering lectures — learning happens through self-directed AI applications, not traditional teacher-led presentations
- Adhering to a purchased curriculum or scripted lessons — you create your own workshop designs independently
- Instructing in other academic areas — your scope is reading workshops and motivational coaching, not mathematics or science instruction
- Managing behavior without purpose — each session is structured around explicit learning targets and quantifiable results
- Operating independently — you engage regularly with the engineers developing the AI tools students interact with every day
Key responsibilities
Guarantee that every K-2 student in your assigned group achieves at or above grade-level reading proficiency through AI-enhanced workshops that transform phonics instruction into an engaging, trackable, and enjoyable experience
Candidate requirements
- Bachelor's degree paired with either a Master's in reading instruction OR structured literacy certification (Orton-Gillingham, Wilson, IMSE, CERI, LETRS, Neuhaus, UFLI, or equivalent)
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (essential for student and family communication)
- 2+ years conducting small-group reading interventions with early elementary learners
- Competent in evaluating reading abilities, organizing student groups, and crafting differentiated instruction independent of pre-made curricula
- Experienced with AI/adaptive learning platforms and attentive to student engagement trends
- Legal work authorization in Puerto Rico without employer sponsorship
- Commitment to on-site work in Dorado, Puerto Rico
